  1. Not to sound negative but the sad truth is that the vast majority of us will be dead by the time we achieve any success, that’s even if we ever do achieve anything ever again. I have come to terms with this.
  2. When / if all this finishes the new ownership must conduct an immediate investigation into all these injuries we get. Pound for pound we must get more injuries than any other club. Probably due to the lack of facilities at the training ground!
  3. I have seen some ridiculous excuses as to why people need to buy things in the ground. ‘My son only eats the burgers in the ground’ ‘I’ve bought a pint in the ground for the last 300 years’ etc etc. If paying £40 for a ticket and another £20 to eat carbohydrate laden crap from the kiosks to then watch league 2 fodder get schooled by Coventry won’t keep people away then they have more problems to address than we thought. Better off ignoring them they’re obviously thick.
  4. Agreed, I’ve never understood the food and drink aspect anyway. Takes ages to get served and it’s all overpriced crap. lots of our fans are creatures of habit (I’ve been to games with some) and each home game must follow an identical pattern so the ones who religiously buy a chicken pie and a pint at 2:15 will still do it, even just to spite the fans not spending anything. bottom line is if the majority don’t spend it is not economically viable for the club to buy perishable products and pay staff as they will be losing money. If not already many of the kiosks will close and they will keep 1 open on each stand (north and south)
  5. I guess a % of people have their own personal reasons that override the common goal of overthrowing the regime. I have seen comments where grandads are taking grand children who’s dad’s have tragically died, or supporters taking disabled children who need to go otherwise they will have an emotional meltdown. These are of course extreme examples and I am sure a good proportion of the 3k will be able to provide a justification without wantonly supporting the regime or simply not caring about the consequences. That game last night is low hanging fruit to be honest as most weren’t assed anyway , let’s see when it comes to the derby …. Easier for me to say as I go to 5/6 home games a season and away games when I can get a ticket, so as much as I liked going it’s not every week.
  6. We are understandably highly charged and emotional, in my opinion the best course of action is to try and temporarily remove all association with the club for the sake of your own mental health and wellbeing
  7. We could be in the northern premier league paying £30 a game with chansiri sat in the directors box smirking and plenty would still go…. The real test is a Saturday league game. Season ticket revenue is spent up, it’s the pay on the gaters that will keep him ticking over.
  8. You have read enough on here about people’s reasons for going … I do believe they are a minority who will go regardless of circumstances. I think many that are still going only go because it’s a social thing, if one person in a group breaks that cycle that’s when the attendances will start plummeting. Hence why I said focus only on what you want to do, don’t be peer pressured by others to keep going.
  9. There is lots of infighting on this forum about whether fans (especially pay on the gate) should / should not be going. A divided fanbase is a weak one. There is one variable that you can control, and that is whether or not YOU go. If you are wondering ‘what’s the point in me not going, it’s only 1 person’ you are in the same boat as maybe 10,000 others, which would make a huge difference. if you want to keep going, crack on, you may change your mind when the people you go with or socialise with at the ground or before / after stop going and you are left in an entire block by yourself. 1 person becomes 2 so and and so forth and there will be a domino effect. Focus on your own actions.
  10. Not a fair comment, some people have been having pint and a bag of chips with their mate from the same kiosk, from the same girl that works there, in the same stand since 2004 and NO supporter should be telling them what to do! (sarcasm)
  11. Utah owl from nether edge?
  12. I have had you lot on toast here! To even entertain this as anything more than a hair brain idea of joke shows the levels of insanity that have been reached. His days are numbered regardless… it’s just a matter of time.
  13. With attendances still much higher than what they should be is time to start blocking supporters from entering the stadium to discourage future attendance? If we can get 3 to 1 we can safely block a supporter from entering by enforcing a citizens arrest style approach. This would would be most effective against pay on the gate supporters. I can understand why some might think this is crossing the line.
