  1. I understand and sympathise with you point of view, but if your only point is not going on in case of a points deduction I think you don’t need to worry about it - a points deduction is going to be inevitable surely. Maybe I have misinterpreted your post, but it read as if you think there may not be a points deduction. I think it’s just a matter of how many. personally I’m undecided.
  2. Would he be able to recruit 3x stewards for it with not paying wages? I’m 100% certain that he would try to, as he has before when there has been murmurings of a pitch invasion, but this time I think it may be different. I don’t think he has the ability to do that with the wages and loan due. I think it will be very telling of what the situation is behind the scenes if he can’t increase the steward numbers for it. Hopefully it would be a bellwether for how much the boycotts have impacted his ability to even maintain basic staffing on match days.
  3. I really like this idea. It bridges the gap of not taking direct action that affects matches and abandoning games completely. The latter would obviously penalise us all and reduce the likelihood of survival this season. Your idea of the short delay disrupts the game slightly, doesn’t affect our survival chances and as you say, keeps people talking about it and catapulting it into wider footballing audiences that wouldn’t have generally taken notice.
  4. This is a big shame. I’ve got a lot of fond memories in there, with you and everyone else.
  5. I agree with those suggesting we leave it as it is. Let his name be synonymous with what he has done to our club, the north stand and how he would risk our fans lives.
  6. I sit on the kop, my entrance is on the kop end of the south stand. I got there at 14:40 and I got in at 14:57. Out of the six available turnstiles at that entrance only three were open
  7. I voted no. i think Pulis could do a job but it won’t be what I want to go and pay to see. At least if he gets it there aren’t any crowds at the moment to notice dwindling attendances, so that a positive.
  8. I managed to somehow miss the deadline info, a couple of lines between the screenshots. Attached now.
  9. Please delete if already posted. the EFL app contains an article saying we need to obtain match passes for iFollow for the Watford game prior to 16:00 on Friday 18th. I can’t see any mention of this on the Club website. I would imagine that people would be able to do this on the day and it may be some tactic by the EFL to try and reduce load on the pass system just prior to kick off, but better to be safe than sorry.
  10. It’s a shame Fantham isn’t on this either. Nice poster, hard to accommodate everyone.
  11. Apologies if already mentioned, but we should be having a referendum on how the council is run. A partition submitted to the council to give us the choice of sticking with a strong leadership model (where 10 or so councillors out of 84 are picked by the winning party to essentially rule all- other councillors have no say) and an alternative model where all councillors get equal opportunity to put their view forward/vote on council decisions. Where voters have been given a choice on this the proportional represtation-like model has won every time. I’ll add this caveat that I support the alternative model as I think it will hold council decisions to greater scrutiny and will mean that councillors aren’t cherry picked for the few positions of power under the strong leadership model- none of which represent my area. here’s some info: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-south-yorkshire-49798209
  12. Exactly. FF may or may not train well, but it’s the performances on the pitch that matter.
  13. True, and I guess that generally only gets raised when the results are poor
  14. I think the problem is Bullen. He clearly is not a fan of FF and has been in the ear of several managers now, I think he should move on at the next managerial merry go round. Bullen has been a good servant and I wouldn’t class him as a Wednesday legend as some do on here- he was a decent player in a very poor Wednesday side. FF is by far our most talented player who has the ability to create something from nothing. Once he came on we looked a completely different team. This situation of refusing to start him reminds me of when Danny Wilson said he couldn’t play Carbone and Di Canio together in the same team.
  15. Bruce taking part in NUFC press conference this morning. Bruce on threat of legal action: “A contract is a contract. It also applies when a manager resigns. I am disappointed as I thought it was in hand. It is the challenge of managing Newcastle United. That was the overriding factor for me to be as selfish as I was.” He’s also not going to be in their dugout when they play West Ham in China, will be in the stands. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steve-bruce-press-conference-live-16611444
  16. Does anyone know if they are small or big for their sizes? Don’t want to buy one and have my gut hanging out
  17. Really pleased to have the stripes back. Always buy a shirt but didn’t buy last seasons. It wasn’t that we had no stripes but that it was on sale half way through the flipping season. I’ll be getting one (hopefully) tomorrow, though I did wake up early this morning and got ready to go down to S6 before our lass pointed out what day it is
  18. Very happy with both the result and how we played. Given the amount and quality of players out shows character. I can stomach losing. I can’t stomach losing when we don’t even try. Tonight it seemed JL really for the player up for it and I’m sure from what he has seen there’s been s glimpses of both positive and negative for him to consider and work on. Was great to see the players wear their hearts on their sleeves and inject some passion into the match
  19. Good luck Jos! I hope we can settle down and give this guy a little time. Would be hard for any manager coming into the league with no experience of it to hit the ground running, let alone when we are in such a bad place at the moment. Im personally happy to give this guy the benefit of doubt and give him a chance. And for me that means not expecting too much this season- though if we hit some good form that’s fantastic. I think we need get behind him and give him a chance. It it feels like now we have a manager we can start moving forwards not backwards.
  20. Jesus Christ, when did you register? I registered about 6 months ago- kept checking but was constantly pending. I deleted it, remade it and that worked. Only took another 2 months from then. When I first tried to register I had a bit more optimism in wanting to post. I’ve kept checking skybet Odds since Carlos departed, now it’s showing “event started” and not showing any managers or odds. Wonder it’s its confirmed yet
  21. Butterfield and Jones pairing too negative. Our slow build up play hasn’t worked all season, we allow teams too much time to organise their defence. This style of play combined with general poor crossing/passing in the final third plus our lacklustre finishing has make us a laughing stock. If we are to stick with the dismal midfield we need a pacey striker or strikers who can create some room and stretch a defence. If we are playing with a a striker with little pace, like Rhodes, we need some pace in midfield to drive on and to create some room for a player like Rhodes.
  22. Could McClaren just be acting as a consultant to Chansiri on potential next manager?
