  1. Genuine answer. For this particular game, the objective is not just to avoid spending any money in the stadium. The key objective is to have zero Wednesday fans in the stadium so that the TV cameras and press can record the ‘stay away’ protest and share to the world. Ultimately, therefore putting more pressure on Chansiri to sell. The ‘young lads’ you refer to, I’m sure are well aware that this protest is going ahead.
  2. Patience required
  3. Exactly how I felt
  4. Not every situation is exactly the same.
  5. A snake because he decided he wanted a more balanced work place? Have you had the same job all your working life?
  6. Hopefully they’ll be acting on it and announcing today .. they could do with a distraction today
  7. Tom Lees is /was an awful footballer.
  8. Surely (to a point) the IFR has to be the saviour of us and other clubs otherwise they have no worth as a body. They are (will be) there specifically to deal with areas of our national sport that the EFL cannot as they are just a competition organiser. They will ensure financial sustainability… as such that won’t allow the Chansiri business model of selling every player to balance the books, to continue. The Independent Football Regulator (IFR) will oversee English football, enforcing a licensing system for clubs in the top five tiers to ensure financial sustainability, protect club heritage, and enforce standards for governance and fan engagement. Key powers include new owners' and directors' tests, a ban on joining unmeritocratic breakaway leagues, a backstop to enforce financial redistribution if clubs fail to agree on one, and a mandate for fan involvement in decisions affecting a club's core identity
  9. I can assure you I don’t need to read Chansiri’s resume. It’s fixed in my thought process constantly. My point was that you suggested that the entire fan base have ‘took it on the chin’. That is not entirely true. I didn’t go yesterday and quite a few more didn’t either. Only 4k went to watch the Leeds game. That is, at a guess, around 20k less than would have normally turned up. The club has barely sold any merchandise, not least the shirts. A minority (still too many) may have ‘taken it on the chin’ but not the entire fan base as you suggested. Keep it real
  10. Thats not entirely true is it?
  11. I could be wrong but I suspect the Trust already knew the club (Chansiri) would say no. But it is more content to squeeze the tyrant with. Many people only read the headline of a story.
  12. Unfortunately there has been a few fantastic, inventive ideas laughed at. Usually by unimaginative, blinkered people I suspect.
  13. Yes. 100% narcissistic behaviour. Cause a problem, deliver a distraction, provide a resolve to the self created problem and then he’s assumes people see him as the perfect owner. Repeat
  14. It’s unfortunate that the situation at the club alone is not enough to stop some people attending the Leeds game. That said, we’re all different and react to situations in different ways.. and that’s fine. I would never dictate to others (on any subject) however, I still struggle to comprehend that people cannot see the consequences of attending a game where the revenue goes to the idiot. He will not be using the money to better our club. Anyone going to the Leeds game is chipping away at the future of our club just as Chansiri has for 10 years.
  15. By definition, Organised protests. I agree. Although the protests should be at away games as (in theory) very few fans will be in Hillsborough.
  16. 1288 protesters today. National and international exposure for our clubs plight. More content for the media to discuss and share details of our situation with the world. Support for the team, not the regime.…. Meanwhile the idiot in Thailand probably received less than £5k. Our vociferous, protesting away fans is without doubt one of our greatest assets in getting the idiot out of our club.
  17. The club? Do you mean if Chansiri gets to read Owlstalk? He is not the club. WE THE FANS ARE THE CLUB
  18. You’re not seeing the bigger picture. The most significant way to draw attention to the clubs plight is by media seeing our fans protesting. Doing that at Hillsborough gives Chansiri money. Doing it at away games gives him next to nothing except bad press (for him) and gives the situation massive exposure.
  19. I’m struggling to understand how some people cannot see the huge value of us having a loud and protesting away support. Having our fans at away games is giving our blighted club enormous exposure both nationally and internationally while giving the idiot, bugger all (and increasing pressure on him). Come on , surely it’s not that difficult to comprehend. Is it?
  20. The home club receives all revenue from tickets sold to both home and away fans for Championship games (cup games are different) The away club can add a nominal booking fee but compared to the ticket price it’s a drop in the ocean
