  1. Totally agree with most of sentiments. It was a strange feeling initially, boycotting the cup games. But if also felt the right thing to do. I will boycott the Boro game and hope it is successful but the sight of those attending will really boil my juice. It's a natural response. If several thousand do attend then at least they will be diluted all across the stadium rather than concentrated in 4 blocks of the South Stand (wearing their black and gold). I'll be angry and disappointed with them but the focus on the thousands who made the sacrifice and will continue to support the trust. I really would like to see a boycott of the derby game as this would be the ultimate show of defiance - but if the Boro is a flop then forget the idea of anymore home boycotts until FA cup time, Respectfully .... There are about 1500 real hardcore away fans who never miss. Maybe stop demonising us as a problem and see us as the asset we been so far in this battle. I missed my cup 20 points (big deal) and when I don't renew that'll be another 230 lost. So what? I'm not giving him that £700 for next season and will deal with the withdrawal symptoms next August. Just because we go away doesn't automatically correlate to being priority point obsessives. We have built our points by constantly attending games. It's pretty easy really over a few years. There may well be many priority point whores out there but please don't characterise us all as lacking principles and not being any less committed than you to seeing the back of this regime. Peace Wednesday brothers and sisters.
  2. Seem to remember in the distant past that second half we always came out to Singing the Blues. Not original but got the crowd ready for the next 45 mins. Currently it's a non-event.
  3. The very definition pf nominative determinism. Really feel for those being born into that.
  4. Never mind that first match, just look out for the birthrate spike 9 months to the day later. Forget a new stadium for a few years, they are going to be looking for land to build the new school to accommodate the boom!!
  5. They will still be here and still effective in our 2027/8 League 2 HMS PTL campaign. What a ride!!
  6. Usually see the kit van flying down the motorway after a game. Saw it after Wrexham but it wasn't the usual distinctive branded one but a hire vehicle with a little sticker on the back. Don't know what this means though, if anything.
  7. You can feel the anger rising a notch today but who knows what that anger will be like with the break potentially cooling things down again. Rest assured that over the next couple of months as the reality of being beaten every week hits home, then protests will evolve into something more militant. Simply has to. Lots of fans have already shifted a great deal over the Summer. Soon they will be very very angry. A powder keg waiting for a few wayward sparks. It will blow. It's the only thing I'm clinging to at present. Our sparks are out there ..... waiting.
  8. How does the bin liners thing work? Love the idea but when would they be seen for max impact? If they go on at the start or end of a match when the stand is filling or emptying then stewards will likely be taking them off faster than they could be put on. During the game they have lumps like me sat in them (even though my seat is blue and I stand up - but you get the sentiment) I'm in and would certainly help out with distribution or placement but need it explaining to me simply and slowly. I want all trace of him gone.
  9. And yet both Swansea goals came down the left. But you are correct with the right side set up.
  10. True. The majority attending can't be bothered to protest with a song or by wearing colours. (I of course exempt myself from this criticism ) If those militant stay away boycoters could organise for just one final appearance - all turn up and do their thing pitch wise . They have the cajones to take the protest to the next level. Just make sure I know in advance as it may take a good 7-8 minutes to limp down from the back of the North and try to find a way over the advertising hoardings. But count me in (probably/maybe)
  11. Some of that may have been down to us being Man Us (and a certain Bryan Robson's) bogie team at that time. But - let's not speak of this again!
  12. 1. Kick and rush under Wilko was more exciting to watch than anything that came afterwards. 2. Di Canio is the most talented footballer (and most bonkers and obviously fascist) seen in the modern age playing for the Owls. 3. The 80's pinstripe shirt is my absolute fav strip. Man does that feel good to get say out loud. Now to bottle it back up and never speak of such things again.
  13. One Tuesday I was at first angry/disappointed that so many had turned out. Then stepping back, it was a cause to celebrate so many staying away. Swansea it made me really angry on the walk into the ground (yes I know I'm the problem here but stick with it) whenever I saw someone in the new home shirt. Grrr. But then I only counted 5. 4 of those were being worn by individuals who maybe looked like football was all they had in life (leave it). So again rejoice at the boycott working rather than the few unable to help themselves. Only saw one megastore bag being carried all match. Up the ramp to North stand there was only one guy drinking - saw no empties lining the route as usual. The concourse was dead save for a group of 10 or so very young lads (18?) who were drinking in a bunch (tucked in a corner). Only saw 3 more drinkers the whole length of the concourse at 2.40. Hung around and watched the concessions but even less action than on the pitch. So again celebrate the boycott rather than focus on the few ignoring it. Percentage wise it is a very small proportion of those attending. In the South photo there is only maybe a hundred in there drinking. So don't let anger and disappointment distract from how compliant the majority have been. I was the only one in the North stand who stood up ready to chant vitriol on 10 mins (T1 excepted) as directed by the Trust but I think we were having a corner so it was a lost opportunity - pathetic response to a half-arsed request. We can't even seem to get dressed in Yellow/Black. Most may as well not be there as a protest movement - but that's anger and disappointment kicking in again!! This is only after 2 home league games. Once the true horror of this season starts to hit home then physical attendances will decline along with any hope both on and off field. It unfortunately seems like we are at the start of a long game if the idiot is intent on trying to ride this out. Try to be less judgmental of fellow owls. It's hard when faced with stupid but the majority have come a long way already.
  14. At 10 mins stand up and release hell mild disapproval.
  15. When I picked up our lass (not old Doris from TWS BTW) after Leeds (I know ) there were quite a few new home shirts on display. So obviously those buying the official ones only come out at night. And now the task of persuading to boycott resumes again - if only I was master in my own house.
  16. In reality it will probably be a similar attendance to yesterday. I'll take that as it could have been soooo much worse. He ain't going to be making much from this draw. Not even TV money this time. Lots of police and stewards needed to keep the fishy ones in check. Keep calm folks and boycott, boycott, boycott.
  17. Hope there is not the soft toy protest because otherwise the t*sspot 8 rows in front of me is going to be in for a surprise.
  18. Orville and Cuddles gone -,but let’s never ever forget the role they played this Summer. ️️️️
  19. They may have all retired by then Digging in those heels by the looks of it
  20. My significant other went to the match It's been stressful few days to say the least. Please, Please oh Football gods let Round 3 be drawn away - for a bit of domestic harmony. Can't go through this again.
  21. and there's no one better, than Steven Fletcher, not even Kun Aguero be belting out.
  22. Apologies. I didn't know they were currently on General sale. Maybe the current state of sale is about the extent of it then.
