Speaking for myself, and honestly not having a pop, but who cares? Of the myriad of problems we have right now, this barely registers for me.

I am not wanting to be controversial for the sake of it, but I genuinely do not care about the officiating, and the decision to not rule their 3rd goal offside. It feels like we need to be on the receiving end of a proper pasting for some of our supporters to wake up to the reality of the situation. The earlier pitch invasion and the reaction of some of the crowd - booing them - is a perfect example. Let us be right here - we are going down this season, so if a proper thrashing shakes even a handful of extra attendees into action, then bring it on. If that means I'm not a "proper fan" then so be it.

Coincidentally, we named our dog Beni, too.

That is brilliant. Downloaded just now. Growing up in the 90s, my one abiding memory of teletext scores was the headline "Owls Hammer Hammers" after a 4-0 at Upton Park/Boleyn Ground. Wanna say 98 or 99?

You're right, anyone walking up won't turn around and head home, for sure. But there is a good chance a proportion - even if only a small one, say, <5% - of those who filed past it after being beaten 0-1 by League Two Grimsby won't be falling over themselves to continue funding the decline. It sent a clear and unequivocal message to those who saw it. That is what is needed. Clear, punchy messages. We see it in politics, and rightly or wrongly, it works.

Honestly, I think part of the promble is the vocal minority on social media who reply to posts made by the Trust et. al., with rapid nonsense about not telling me what to do etc. As we know, it is those who shout loudest who are often heard, and when such comments are deployed on any post that is a call to action, then it is going to influence a portion of the fans into thinking, yeah, ok, they have a point. Even when faced with facts, those who shout loudest just double-down and become more entrenched. The banner that was on the fence of the park was perfect. That may seem contradictory to the above, but it was blunt, clear, and designed to shame. It didn't get the vocal ones a platform to reply and have their spiel seen be a wider audience - aside from anyone passing in ear shot, of course, which is a temporary and fleeting audience. It was a closed book. That's what we need, I think. It won't be 100% effective, but nothing ever will.

My favourite was "sourse". Had two widely used phoentic variants available and missed them both.

Milord, we have the city surrounded! Shall we make preparations to being starving them out? What? Preposterous! My young squire, you have a lot to learn about siege warfare. No, we shall force their surrender through song.

Yes, as the vocal and vociferous support yesterday was coming through loud and clear; I am sure it gave the players the edge they need to keep the scoreline to only 0-3.
-
If yesterday was getting behind the team, I'd hate to see what it will be like when a bit of apathy kicks in.
-
Reading between the lines, that does not sound good.

ITK Lolz - let's have real reporting
axolotl replied to We are all Wednesday's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
He does have a strong track record. Often breaking news on starting line ups, contracts, injuries (etc) before they are made public. The problem with the takeover is Chansiri. What is accurate one day - deal close - could be miles off the next because Dickweed has moved the goalposts, or demanded extra money. Can't blame bizzle for that. I think most of us appreciate his posts- he never seems to crave adulation or notoriety. At least that is my impression. -

I agree. I mean, I personally disagree with paying for tickets, but tearing into one another solves nothing.- 459 replies

A season ticket doesn't work for me for a few reasons, but I would be getting a membership if/when the takeover is done
