  1. Chill out people. Corporate tickets will be available all over the host cities in the run up to the games. Get there a day or two early. Make some connections
  2. There’s some beautifully weathered brickwork by the kop turnstiles on Penistone Road that has been permanently ruined by some of this guys ‘artwork’ . Whenever I drive past it just makes me feel so depressed about what’s happened to the club
  3. Eh? Hopefully new owners will make it a priority to set match day ticket prices at around the championship average which will be a huge reduction on where they are now and well below the prices that season ticket holders currently pay
  4. The original badge was most likely agreed upon by a bunch of old ‘committee’ men who thought branding was something you did to cattle. The club then had the good fortune to chance upon the winning entry of a competition which just so happened to be one of the best and most iconic club badges in the world. It’s been messed about with and had it’s purity weakened by others over the decades but nobody has ever been so ignorant, stupid or arrogant as to think they could replace it, especially not with something as unoriginal and dated as the third rate offering that was considered adequate in the fifties.
  5. Agreed. Nothing represents the Chansiri regime in all its clueless, destructive incompetence more clearly than his decision to replace our world famous club badge with the current abomination. The warning signs were always there.
  6. I’ve been a bit of a regular at Hallam for the last five years or so. Of course it doesn’t compare to the emotional charge of a big match at Hillsborough, for a Wednesdayite nothing can. But on weekends like this when there’s a play off at Sandygate and the Owls match is effectively a dead rubber played in front of a near silent, despondent crowd and with the promise of a half hearted protest as a depressing side show, there is simply no contest as to where I’d rather be. Up the Countrymen!
  7. Absolutely ridiculous that Israel should be sanctioned for defending itself and attempting to rescue its citizens currently held by Hamas. Surely it would be more appropriate for Israel to propose FIFA barring Palestine from International competition as Hamas started the war and Hamas and Hamas alone have the power to end it by releasing the hostages .
  8. With the Chansiri badge on? Surely nothing more clearly symbolises the man’s ineptitude and arrogance like his ruining of our famous club crest. The old badge is front and central in all other protest images for a reason. The new badge will be binned as soon as Chansiri is gone.
  9. Managers don’t resign, they are sacked. That would require Chansiri to admit he’d made yet another massive feck up. Can’t see that happening myself.
  10. Hurry up and open the Leppings Lane Lower. It’s an incredible view of the stadium on a packed out night match.
  11. The current one is hideous
  12. Reviving an old thread as I think my question is on the same theme. My season ticket is in my sons wallet in Malta. He’s sent me a photo . Does anyone know if you can gain entry to the ground with a photo of your season ticket. Pretty sure the technology allows for this but what is the clubs policy. Anyone tried it?
  13. good game this. Hallam have created more with Render making a couple of good saves but Wednesday have the edge technically. Hallam don't usually play against this much pace and I can see a few more goals coming for the young Owls
  14. Went to the match last Saturday. Over 620 in attendance to witness an absolutely cracking game. Unlike the goalfests of recent weeks this was a tight affair with Hallam equalising late on to earn a 1-1 draw. We had a few beers while watching the game, ended up in the bar afterwards and got chatting to some of the Glasshoughton lads. They were really buzzing and you couldn't blame them. For anyone considering going but thinking it may all be a bit Sunday League or just not as competitive as the professional game I urge you to try it. It's an absolute breath of fresh air after countless years feeling duty bound to watch Wednesday and coming home from each game disappointed, frustrated or worse! I haven't enjoyed my football this much since the early nineties. COYH!
  15. what DM actually said was 'He’s wished us all well. He doesn’t miss a kick that happens at the club and his commitment has been clear.' This sounds to me like someone who has passed the responsibility on to someone else and is simply keeping in touch with the new, professional and knowledgeable, regime. Developments in all aspects of the club, both on and off the pitch appear to back this up
  16. the badge takes it to the next level
  17. Established Premiership mainstays Crystal Palace and Southampton went down the admin route in the not too distant past.
  18. winning certainly transformed Hull City's fortunes. Likewise Huddersfield a year later. Fine margins eh!
  19. if your a fan of NFL you'll know all about Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins deliberately losing games to finish bottom and get the best pick of next season's draft. It's called tanking and it symbolises how fans over there are treated with utter contempt by the franchise owners. Enjoy your NFL mate but it sounds poo to me
  20. You're right. What he actually said was this: "He is good friends with the Middlesbrough owner. That made me scared. I need my people to give 100%."
  21. An incredible accusation. Absolutely unbelievable!
  22. but he doesn't pick the team remember?
  23. when DC said "He is good friends with the Middlesbrough owner. That made me scared. I need my people to give 100%." What does this mean and will TP or his lawyers respond?
