  1. It is. I bought home and away for me and the lad on DH Gate - got Bannan on back of home kit. It is red, yes.
  2. Great to see the more modern pop groups mentioned. Can we not just add lyrics to Greensleeves?
  3. * and two who you’ve heard of and don’t find depressing.
  4. Wouldn’t mind them both going. Might get a year more out of Johnson playing left mid in a 4-4-2 but not for me at LWB.
  5. No, of course Jamie O’Hara is not right. By definition. I liked the old play-off of fourth bottom in top flight playing third top in second flight.
  6. Plenty of hari-kari on show last night (footballing equivalent rather than literal)
  7. Makes you wonder how many points we’d have had if we hadn’t f-ed it up in that 8/9 game spell.
  8. Can imagine the press conference: DM: So, basically, Pato as the sixpence.
  9. A little glimpse into the manager’s mind there.
  10. I still think there’s a player in Adeniran but may well be wrong on that. Is Shipston worth a punt? For my money, Dele Bashiru’s performance yesterday was in the all time pantheon of cr*p. Adeniran not much better and I’m not sure what Bakinson brings? Who starts Monday? Would rather start James at LWB, thought Johnson was hopeless yesterday and been off it in last couple. Thoughts?
  11. Taking Wilks off was odd but, to be fair, Dele-Bashiru had a blinder
  12. Huh? There was literally a post that had renamed them Dave, Dave and Dave.
  13. You know why. Nuhiu did not like being called ‘Dave’ yet people still carry on with it.
  14. My dad was a Manchester United fan (evacuated there in war), had no loyalty to that. Wanted to support a team different from my friends (no idea why) and followed Wednesday since January 1990. We were playing decent football then!!
  15. 1) Having squad ready a month before the season is virtually impossible. 2) As is winning promotion by March. Surprised you don’t want the FA, League and Pizza cup treble too.
  16. Yeh, but then what’s there to moan about? OP wants us promoted by March!!!
  17. Yeh but apart from that? Think you’ll find that when we do not win, the default position is f**k Moore, sack him…..BFR would have had us promoted by end of October. How anyone who saw us last season, and for much of this, can have ANY expectations is beyond me. Earlier in the year Johnson, before he was moved to CB, was ‘the worst ever’; at CB he was initially ‘a wonder’ before becoming ‘the worst ever’, now at LWB he’s the second coming of Roberto Carlos. Berahino was ‘the worst ever’ and now he’s ‘undroppable’, Patterson is regularly either ‘a grafter and asset’ or ‘the worst ever’ - depending on if we win or not. We’re a fair team - that injuries have hindered gelling - in a sh*te league.
  18. No answer to this yet? Him returning would be huge. Seems to have vanished.
  19. Don't necessarily agree he's been our best for years...Hooper, Forestieri, Lee, Iorfa and Fletcher for me. He likely is our best player now, I don't deny. Even Carlos, during our most recent heyday, was unsure, having him left midfield on occasion. Similar to Reach who was one of our more talented players but regularly play at left back, wing back, centre mid or #10. The parralel drawn with Sven is clear. He played 4-4-2 with no holding mid or left wing. I cannot see achieving with Bannan. Harsh on him because his limitations are accentuated by the failings of others, i.e. Luongo/Hutch (previously) rarely being fit.
  20. Hutch, Iorfa, Dunkley, Gibson, Brennan, Palmer (just about in L1), Agbontohoma (as a previous poster mentioned, other clubs blood youngsters) and, at a pinch, Patterson. So it's not so much the number but: 1) The number who are not made of balsa wood. 2) A manager with some kind of idea who his first choices and back-ups are.
