I think you captured this really well. Sometimes it's nice to get back to basics away from all the downsides of modern football (I appreciate it also has advantages). I will always prioritise Wednesday but I also enjoy being at the oldest football ground in the world and have always felt really welcome there. I would encourage anyone who has never been to give it a try and you don't have to wander far before you come across some fellow Owls (there seems to be quite a connection between the 2 clubs). P.S. I hadn't realised Pudil had moved on. I saw him watching one of the games recently and assumed he was injured. Pedersen was also watching too!

I don't think it has to be either/or. I am an Owls season ticket holder and have been to 80 odd grounds following them away. However, I also really enjoy going to Hallam, having a beer, and sometimes watching Daniel Pudil play. I think they are quite different experiences really and I don't see it as an issue of divided loyalties as the standard and league position are world's apart. Plenty of room for both in my world.

I wouldn't say so mate. I only have 560 points and could have got tickets for Leicester, Bolton, and Portsmouth. I can't see us selling Bristol out a few weeks after Christmas. It is a decent trek and a lot of people will need to save cash. I went a couple of years ago and I think we only sold about 2000.

Love that song.

Liam Palmer carrying on being an SWFC LEGEND
Wolter replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Top man is Liam. Clearly loves the club and is happy to give up his time to support others. -
But there was loads of anti-DC chanting at the mstch today.

I would always watch Wednesday over Hallam as I have been in love with the Owls for over 40 years. That said, Hallam is great and I enjoy going there too. I particularly like the fact you can get 2 cans of Lost Lager for a fiver and there is a refreshing lack of razzmatazz. Plus, I got to kick the ball back to Pudil, the other day when it went out of play. Closest I will get to playing for Wednesday!

First time I heard it was at West Brom away. I think it was about 20 years ago but not really sure. I do remember they only had 3 stands open. We were losing and the fans just got louder. We seemed to sing it for ages that day and I had to ask a mate what the words were (perhaps this means it was sung before then?). Anyway, the story ends happily as we ended up winning. 2-1 I think.

I plan on spending most of the day drinking and feeling smug that I have taken Monday off work. Cub scout motto, be prepared!

WBA tickets not adding Priority Points

I rang the club about West Brom. They said the TPP would be added after the match had been played. -
Nigel Worthington, king of the left backs.

The club have just announced they are on sale now mate.
-
I don' really know but I am guessing they will be advertised sometime in December. Might be worth popping into or ringing the ticket office.
-
I ordered mine on Wednesday last week and they arrived today. I guess it should be fine but it might be worth ringing the ticket office if you are worried mate.

I usually buy one but don't read much of it, especially if we've lost. I used to really enjoy the articles about the history of the club though.

Whats the drunkest you’ve been at a SWFC match

Colchester away. Hot day, began drinking on the train about 8am. Fell asleep for all of the first half. Good move! -
Which superstar could buy OUR club?

John Cooper Clarke who reckons 'Wednesday ain't just some lousy day of the week'. -
Ha ha, no. I might take a bit of taxi money with me though this time.

Oops, I meant 8.22

Booked on the 8.11

I think I might know which Preston trip you are referring to. From memory gay pride was on in Manchester the same day and the trains were chocca. You are definitely right about that journey to Manchester. The worst one I remember was when England played Jamaica (Deon Burton came on as a sub) at Old Trafford. It was hot and rammed and the condensation was dripping from the ceiling onto my newly coiffured Barnet. Downer! Starting to think the car might have been a good idea.
-
Think I was on that train. It was flipping horrible! Just have to hope we can get on the one after if needs be.
-
Booked on to that one but when I checked I hadn't got seat reservations. It is a bit worrying as the Sheffield to Manchester train is always busy at the best of times. Going to be 'interesting'.
