Only option now is players refusing to play
bigdan2003 replied to SheffWed's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Getting kicked out of the league isn’t something I’d want to risk at this time tbh. That would be far worse for the club and its future at this time. Players striking is the very last resort. Whilst it’s pretty grim, I don’t think we’re quite in the realms of last resort yet - we have one last chance with the IFR. -
Really sad news. RIP Xbana Milan

What a strange bloke Wilder is. Booting the ball, for no particular reason, into his own fans -

Refreshing and welcome from our skipper. The fact he’s talking so honestly makes me wonder what Chansiri has down now. -
I’m going on holiday next week. I miss two games. I used to be a bit gutted if I missed games, and honestly I don’t care right now. Boxing Day fixture, first one in how long?? Right now I’m planning on spending the day with family instead.

Beyond a joke this now
bigdan2003 replied to O'Neill Donaldson's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
There is a clause in the Season Ticket Ts&Cs that states they can reallocate. But on re reading perhaps the reason for doing it wouldn’t be met in this scenario. -

Talk of a boycott for the grunters game. Can see the sh*t bag trying to allocate that lot in the north if there is a threat of lower home numbers… -
The opening post should be pinned as a reminder to the main forum as a reminder to everyone.

Who was the guy warming up the keepers on Saturday? Looked like one of the medical team, but could’ve been an academy coach I guess.

He’s a classless tail, but no denying he’s a very good manager for them. The two parties seem to be a perfect match, and it’s really bizarre they sacked him to begin with. It’s been funny watching them cry for the last 6 weeks, but now they’ll be insufferable again. Be funny if he fails, can’t see it mind. -
It’s a shame the coward wasn’t there to face the music, instead of leaving “his people” to take the flack.

End of the day, if it’s “not a pound in the ground” then ultimately a supplier somewhere is going to be impacted through reduced orders, and some might be small local businesses. The people who do the programmes are a relative small firm in Oxfordshire I think, so should we be worried about them? It’s an unfortunate impact of the necessary protest.

Order some beer from Thornbridge to compensate.

We need a very serious conversation…
bigdan2003 replied to standerino's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Alex Miller tweeted this about 10 mins after the game. There were a lot of stewards on the north yesterday, more than I’ve seen previously. Presumably there to quickly remove bin bags. But doesn’t look like there were many to remove. -
Fans leaving at half time (0-3)
bigdan2003 replied to TouchIsGolden's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I’m a season ticket holder. I'm not expecting us to win a game all season. I can’t even see where the next goal is coming from. I left around the 70th minute when Lowe got into a decent position and ballooned it wide. I left because it’s soul destroying. Thankfully I’m on holiday for the next 2 home games. -
Did anyone else notice the amount of stewards in the north? Seemed to be loads more on the north than other stands. Presumably they brought in more to remove bin bags if needed.

Danny Röhl - Times Article 'Went days with no sleep'
bigdan2003 replied to TZOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The downing tools thing is nuts, and I can’t believe people are still peddling it. “he touted himself around” I’d be wanting to leave if my boss wouldn’t sign off on essential upgrades because of an ancient practice. It’s nuts. According to some folk he was a snake and an awful bloke. Yet there isn’t a shred of evidence to support the claims, no news article, no Times article, no journalist has said anything about Rohls conduct. Just a narrative by the Chansiri lapdogs, that seems to have stuck bizarrely. -
Alex Miller on the Thai Embassy Protest

Anyone seen the reply from the embassy to Clive Betts? -
How long have you been waiting now?

I’d really like Pederson to resign after this. I know it won’t happen, because the guy has far more respect for the club and its fans than the tool who owns us. Also need EFL to dock us points and really start chucking the book at us. Sh*t needs to properly hit the fan now, because this needs to be rapidly brought to a head. He can’t carry on.

Chansiri’s Sheffield Wednesday…where we’re not even allowed to loan players for free.

Let them get on with it. Stops them singing about Jimmy Saville for a bit.

Can we concentrate on the fact there are 20 to 25k fans missing tonight? Leeds at home and less than 5k in attendance…it’s a huge statement. It’s unrealistic to expect a full boycott. Folk will always attend for whatever reason. Keep in mind there will be a fair few family members in the crowd watching their child/grandchild/brother play as well.
