Owlstalk Prediction Champions League
Cammy replied to duncanidaho's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I deserved to go out. Not scoring any points isn’t good enough and I’ll have to have a serious discussion with myself tonight. Thanks, was great fun and now looking forward to the next one -
The day they are referring to when singing about the helicopter changing direction is known up here as "Helicopter Sunday". It was the final day of the season and both halves of the OF could win the league. Celtic were in pole position, 2 points clear before kick-off and leading 1-0 at Fir Park, Motherwell. But with minutes to go Motherwell scored twice to nick the points and win the game. This caused the helicopter to change direction from Motherwell (with the trophy for Celtic) to fly over to Edinburgh to present it to Rangers who beat Hibs 1-0 and win the title by 1 point.

If Röhl gets the Glasgow Rangers job
Cammy replied to danblakemore's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I live in Scotland, lived in Glasgow for nigh on 30 years and like most cities it has its affluent parts and its sh1tholes. Some really nice houses in Newton Mearns, Lenzie and Bearsden and generally it is a very cool city with friendly people. Glaswegians say it how it is. They ain’t shy to speak up about anything and they LOVE their football. Fans of both halves of the OF absolutely despise each other and if you’re 2nd, well then, you’re last. I’ve had loads of my mates and colleagues asking about Danny in the last few weeks. The funny thing is that they all actually think that the Championship is a lower level than managing in Scotland. The championship is the most competitive league in Europe and a much much higher level than the SPL but if Danny does go there and does well, Rangers do have the resources and infrastructure to support him. I love Wednesday, strangely enough as a Scotsman who lives 4 hours from Sheffield, this is my club. When we win, it makes everything better but when we lose (albeit not this season cos we have bigger tuna to fry) it totally ruins my whole weekend or midweek. The charlatan who runs our club has phucked up our best chance of a crack at the prem in years. He’s a phucking bombscare, a narcissist and a vindictive little boy man. Anyway, back to Röhl. I absolutely loved Danny, what he achieved was nothing short of a miracle and will be keeping a close eye on how he does up here in the goldfish bowl of Glasgow (if he gets the job). Beating the rest of the SPL is fine but finishing second to Celtic is last and Rangers fans do not accept that but having seen what Herr Röhl did what he did for us, I have a sneaking suspicion that he could do well there and use it as a stepping stone to the Premier League similar to what Gerrard, Rodgers and Postecoglou did. -
I've joined up too. Chansiri Out XI

Didn't Def Leppard help Dave get his bank?

Heartfelt video, I'm in tears watching it. He hit the nail on the head - we are helpless whilst a man who is not even in the UK(and probably never will return) is single-handedly DESTROYING our beloved club. One man is the poison which has been killing our club for years. Somebody, somewhere must be able to intervene and stop him!

Scottie Mcclue SPEAKS OUT against Chansiri
Cammy replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Add to that Nicola Sturgeon (she has loads of cash from fiddling the SNP) and wee Jimmy Krankie (aren’t they the same person) and we are onto a winner. Both probably know more about running a football club than Chanser -
Yas, ya dancer!! I’m heading over there next week and never knew about this until now. I’ll definitely be paying it a visit for a few beers.

Chansiri is IN TALKS to sell SWFC
Cammy replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Will you build me a new house? I had to sell my last one to give Chanser some money to pay the U21s -
Abso’phuckin’lutely. The Charlatan has to go ASAP

I'll take the away one off you mate. How much you want for it?

I hope you're phuking joking. Been following this thread for days and the transfer one for weeks in the hope of some good Ugbo news and since late last night it's the only time I've been encouraged by what I've been reading. We are so close now, I hope tomorrow it will be official and I can relax.

Position numbers instead of names - argh!

Sorry to hear this Ray. It must be tough for you but stay strong. We are all here if you need to talk. Take care mate -
He was out of his depth and couldn't handle the situations. The situations he found himself in were that his situation as a manager was shortlived because he wasn't aware of the situation of how massive a club Wednesday are. He was found out because of his situation of playing players out of position, in the wrong situation and lacking any knowledge of how to attack teams in any situation. Dark, dark days. We were p!$$ poor.

It is beautiful, I'm getting one 100% (anyone got a link for a cheaper replica?)

HMS P**s the League…or ‘Steady as She Goes’
Cammy replied to Belgradeowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I'm becoming more and more confident as the season gets closer. Upper mid table should be our target but with a bit of luck we could even sneak into the play offs. -
Ryan Jack is a decent shout - would give us a bit of bite and cover in midfield (if he could stay clear of injuries)
-
The reason he didn't play many games for Rangers was that he wasn't good enough to be first choice. Always flattered to deceive and although he chipped in with a few goals, was never going to change a game single handedly. Put it this way, his second touch is a tackle and I seriously doubt he has the quality to cut it in the Championship. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe (if there's any truth in the rumour) Danny sees him as someone he can work with and maximise his full potential but if it was a straight choice between Wright and Podeva, i'd go for Podeva. I'd also imagine his wages will be quite high at Rangers and don't think we should be paying those kinda wages for someone who is probably going to warm the bench - we have had and still have enough of them and are trying to get away from that culture.
