  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gives them the whole away end anyway.
  2. Thanks for that. I was beginning to think it was just me who had no idea what he was on about.
  3. That was my first thoughts to be honest. Do they think Chansiri’s made of money?
  4. So do some of our fans.
  5. Definitely, our predicament is not new is it? We were in a similar mess in 2010 and here we are again. Next time around it shouldn’t be about a quick fix on the pitch, as you say we need to build from a solid base upwards starting with the infrastructure. It might sound boring to some but it’s the right thing for our club right now and for its future success.
  6. Yes. Two 1967 Bedford VAL’s last time I checked.
  7. But even so, it doesn’t mean they can call how the EFL will respond.
  8. It’s good news hopefully but let’s not forget we can only move as fast as the EFL will let us. I’m not sure how anybody could confidently predict timescales when part of the process is out of the club’s and buyers hands and the buyers are unknowns.
  9. Didn’t need Dixons. By the time I got to Pond Street, the Green-Un had arrived at the Threepenny Bit so I’d browse the results on the bus. I’m still amazed how they got the match reports and results proofed, printed and out so quick back in the 60’s when there were no computers etc. I bet they’d struggle to do it now.
  10. He could be a good fit, who knows, but some saying that Textor can’t possibly be as bad as Chansiri is just about as low a bar as we can set. Surely we’re not asking for the world in hoping we can attract an owner or owners who have the club’s future at heart rather than their own and want to take us forward? Not just bail us out for now but in the end inflict on us their own brand of misery.
  11. My concern is how long it will take the EFL to clear the process
  12. It’s understandable. Playing kids who weren’t ready for first team football week in week out would affect them physically and mentally.
  13. Wasn’t there an EFL season when a club couldn’t start and so the highest placed relegated club in their division and also the divisions below were bumped back up? I can’t remember who or when, I just seem to think it happened.
  14. That is literally the last thing you should be worrying about right now.
  15. I see where you’re coming from but knowing a couple of Wimbledon fans, I think it would be fair to say they took their history with them when they reformed and have now got their club and home back. Still an absolute nightmare though.
  16. Even if he wanted to, I don’t think he’d be allowed to unless we can get him listed as an officer.
  17. Lyon are in a mess aren't they? The threat of being relegated hanging over them and over half a million euros in debt according to my brother in law. Having to sell off some of their players??
  18. And that’s a statement I thought I’d never hear from a football supporter, let alone a Wednesdayite. The fact that you are 100% correct makes me sick to the stomach
  19. Gary’s return would be wonderful, but we’d have to convert the dugout to accommodate his Shackleton high seat chair.
  20. 1shilling each and a lift over the turnstiles?
  21. How many more ‘IFS’ is Chansiri going to get?
  22. But we only became debt free after getting ourselves into a similar situation to what we’re in now and running out of money, hence Mandaric coming on board. What I’m saying is we can’t keep rolling the dice and hoping all will end well. For me anyway, whoever takes us over it’s more important to me that we’re well run and we don’t go down this road again. If they can do that and really take us to the next levels so much the better. UTO
  23. It goes beyond him coming onboard though doesn’t it. Let’s not forget how why he ended up here in the first place. Whoever takes us over, we need to change, root and branch.
  24. It’s difficult to blame a third party when there were probably thousands of Owls just like me who had a gut feeling something didn’t seem quite right quite early on but were prepared to go along for the ride.
  25. I get your point but we’ve been saying that for many decades. History shows we’re a well supported club but we seem to have found our upper limit average in the last 60 years no matter how good a team we’ve had. Same goes for the other lot.
