Charles was involved with the open training session on the 29th Oct. Wasn't there so didn't see what he was being put through. But you'd have thought if he's had no setback he'll be close to a start.
I don’t think it’ll be a problem. Whatever happens, we’ll be in a better place and that’s all that really matters to the fans. All the anticipation and guessing about new owners is just a bit of fun, and most people are enjoying it.
Instead, we could have been heading into the new year with Chansiri still in charge… the nightmare before Christmas.
What is clear though is that whoever it is must have serious money, you don’t enquire about sites for a new ground unless you’re operating at that level.
Exactly. And like I said in another post, it’s interesting that Rob comes out with this just hours after The Bizzle’s update. A few on here were dismissing the idea of anyone approaching the council, this pretty much confirms it happened and gives a bit of weight to what Bizzle said. Feels more than a coincidence.
Rob hasn’t said the Waltons aren’t involved, only that they weren’t the ones in this meeting.
Says that Ashley, McEvoy and an Indonesian group are the three left. Middle Eastern group withdrawn because of the competitiveness of the auction and the on-going costs.
Considering the last 5–6 years and the 25-year decline, I think the inevitable upgrade will go down well with most fans. The Walton's is a nice dream, and to be fair, after everything we’ve had to put up with, I think we are allowed that luxury.
