  1. I’d like to apologies to Colin West, Gilles De Bilde, David Graham, Jay Bothroyd, Kim Olsen and Enoch Showunmi. Ugbo is without doubt the worst striker we’ve ever had.
  2. Despite the gulf in quality and quantity, I expected us to fight from the off and get the crowd behind us. Then I saw Ugbo casually jog for a 50/50 in the first five minutes and I could have told you then we weren't up for it.
  3. I’ve been critical of his team selection and tactics today (and other games), but he’s not going anywhere just yet… I’m not even sure the administrators have the power to do so? Although I agree he might not be the best man to take us forward beyond this season.
  4. At least they will be available for Millwall away then. We might even have a shot on target.
  5. Henrik doesn’t get a free pass today. Cooper and Cadamarteri should have started for me, irrelevant of fitness. And the rest didn’t cover themselves in glory regarding effort. But yes, we can relax because this season was over before it started.
  6. The only player I clapped off the pitch today. He’s going to be something special.
  7. Felt worse last season when they beat us by one. Expected nothing today and that’s exactly what we got.
  8. That’s it for me today. If things aren’t going your way then you put the effort in. He ran around like he was Henry.
  9. The only positive from today. The chance to have their proper massacre. Let’s hope we get some signings in for the return fixture at their place.
  10. Did my bit yesterday. An old Wednesdayite I know wanted to go but hasn't been for years and doesn't know how to sort tickets. I've got him and his family 5 tickets in the Lower Lepp after going on the scrounge for ID numbers! He can't wait.
  11. He's from Stocksbridge (who grows up to support that lot from Stocksbridge?) but I'd prob say he was from Dronfield / Chezzy way by his accent.
  12. Great gesture @S6owls. Hope Otley takes you up on the offer.
  13. Quick wins for me would be: Simplify the ticket categories. 3 max. Make season tickets and memberships more attractive. Put on more offers for POTG supporters. Attract more families.
  14. I hope it's better policed in the Leppings Lane end this year. I'm in the North but had family who were in the lower Lep last season, and they said all sorts of objects were getting thrown down on them when they scored. Maybe we need to adopt the same policy as Sunderland and ban coins and vapes in the away end. It's one of the most cowardly acts you can do yet it happens every single Derby day at their place and at ours.
  15. I'm sure you're doing this for the right reasons but there are a lot of hoops to jump through for something like this. My advice would be to take this idea to the Trust so they can discuss this with the club. But I doubt the club would accept this while in administration. Your other option is probably to exchange any money raised for vouchers and then hand these over to staff at the club. Again, it would be better if this were done via a trusted source.
  16. I think Hillsborough could be redeveloped, but we are desperate for some additional space and there's been no facilities plan or major investment since the days of Waddle and Hirst! We obviously missed the boat on purchasing the land across from the Kop years ago, but it looks like the owner of that land is open to selling or renting out some of it. It would be the perfect opportunity to move the tickets office and shop to here, meaning the current Megast and sports hall could be demolished and space freed up behind the North - maybe for a proper fanzone, extension of the concourse and/or additional turnstyles (removing the ones via Lepps Lane). The Kop is built into a hill but you could create additional space if it were demolished, flattened and rebuilt. South Stand just needs some TLC and possibly a bigger flood defence wall. The main issue is the roof which blocks too much sunlight to the pitch. West Stand is obviously the one that requires the most work. The club would probably need to try and purchase houses on Vere Road (I think they once owned some of these?) to free up space. Liverpool did similar but over a period of many years, knowing that one day they'd develop the Anfield Road stand.
  17. Sounded like the clapping started from the middle/Kop end of the North from where I was. As you said, needs to be better communicated over the speakers (even though you can't hear a word in the North) and on the scoreboard to remind the thickos not to clap, because it happens every year. Preston managed to do it properly at their game last night; it's really not that difficult.
  18. A joy to watch. Bannan-esque in the way he operates with the ball. As others have said, he's wasted at left back but I imagine that's where Man U want him to play. I'd love to see him alongside Bannan in the middle of the park.
  19. Wow, it’s even worse than I remember.
  20. Even Ugbo couldn’t believe he missed it!
  21. When did football fans start clapping after The Last Post? There have been so many examples recently of supporters clapping as soon as it finishes instead of remaining silent - why?
  22. I've lost all faith in Ugbo since that penalty miss last season. He's on par with Jay Bothroyd for work rate, and yet the fans still sing his name every week. £2.5m transfer fee with a cushy contract until 2028 - probably end up as one of our worst signings ever at this rate. We might see the best of him in 2028...
  23. 30K would have probably been the target for this behind the scenes, but maybe it was too ambitious. 27k-28k is still a great turnout.
  24. The power of this forum is unmatched. I’m constantly blown away by the generosity of members. Credit to Neil as well, this is a fantastic gesture to the club.
  25. The rumour is that there was £15k left in the club's bank account when the administrators took over. I'd guess the wage bill is circa £1m per month so to be even close to covering this is a magnificent effort by the fans and administrators.
