  1. Ugbo may have been played because Cadamateri had been away with Jamaca
  2. If you think Guardiola would do better with the squad we have then I think there is delusion there. Pederson is doing as well as anyone could with limited players and coaching team. I think he deserves a chance when things get better.
  3. We have given too many goals away this season by teams attacking down our defensive right side. There were three more today plus several others in earlier games. Unfortunately Fusire is leaving the right side exposed but I think he is playing out of position. He doesn't seem to have developed any confidence to get fully involved in the game. Ugbo, unfortunately, doesn't offer anything. Their loan striker today was able to win the ball against two defenders and lay it off to a team mate, something Ugbo doesn't seem to achieve except for a couple of headed passes today. The ball comes back too quickly so I think this is why Pederson thinks it has to be played out from the back where possible. Also, J Lowe doesn't seem to impact the game enough. So we are carrying at least 3 players who aren't contributing or if they are, very little. It's not surprising we struggle and we will do so until we can get some more players in. At least Cooper looked as though he adds to the defence and is better on the ball than Iorfa. Despite all this these are the team we have until new owners and January so we have to keep behind them.
  4. I see no one was prepared to sit near him. Right Billie no mates.
  5. Surely we have to get behind whoever wins ownership until they prove otherwise. The changes required to make us competitive at the Premiership level will be a long process but there will be some quick wins along the way so hopefully they will have identified these in a sensible and well thought out plan to get us there. Some patience is required which is not easy for someone who has followed the club for over 60 years and may not see it back at the top level but, hopefully, the journey will be entertaining and exciting.
  6. Great news. This is what supporting our team is all about.
  7. From what I've heard, Sheffield is one of the most visited (second I think) weekend destinations in the UK and Europe.
  8. I read a Star article earlier that came through an X link which implied that the loan owing to DC had gone up to around £65M which is contrary to the decrease to £54M that Kris stated a couple of weeks ago. Must say I'm confused by what The Star reported.
  9. I remember seeing Mel when Charlton brought him into the team as a youngster playing right side mid-field. He struggled there but I thought he would be good as a full back. A few games later Charlton moved him to right back and the rest is history. Would have had more England caps if playing for a southern team. Also remember him scoring the first goal back in Division 1 from the penalty spot when Wilkinson got us back there. Great servant then and now with his background work.
  10. When did we have a Year 10 secondary school business student running the club? If you mean DC then this is an outrageous insult to Year 10 secondary school business students!
  11. I’d say £2000 to sponsor a game is low. I sponsored a programme in 2011 when Milan was owner and that was £1800.
  12. I have a great deal of respect for Roehl and what he did but a reasonable manager, which he is better than, should be able to beat Kilmarnock, with the resources they have available to them. And I don't intend any disrespect to Kilmarnock. I think Pederson played a very big part in Roehl's success at Hillsborough so we should be grateful that we have him in these circumstances and what he is currently achieving. After all he did stay here and stick with the players to get through the chaos.
  13. Where has this talent been for the past couple of years. Taster was the video before the Peterborough play off but the last two have been so full of pent up emotion. Great job everyone and it shows what is possible if we end up with imaginative owners. Keep it up please.
  14. Sorry, not as exciting as the speculation about the Walton-Penners/Textor etc but there is a guy with a beard and coat on the extreme right of the box about three rows from the back is a coach who was coming to see if joining is a good fit. Don't know his name but he is a "tough" (according to his words) one but has worked with Henrick before. He had been a coach for Birmingham (hates Rowett) but been working in Saudi. He's already worked his network and said there were a number of free agents wanting to join. He wouldn't give any names but said there were some exciting ones amongst them. Will have to see if he joins.
  15. For once he has done the right thing but I feel this was forced on him by the company that had loaned the money. At least the consolation is that the odious tnuc will come out of this with very little. It must have been a real kick in the teeth for him to see the pictures of the seats spelling out Chansiri being taken out so quickly after the announcement. He probably now understands the sentiments of the fans but more especially the staff who deserve such massive credit in all of this. I only hope that a new owner is sorted quickly so there are no job losses.
