Has leeds sold out for tomorrow
Bing Cosby replied to Mike Jones's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
It's difficult making tough decisions, particularly when it involves your kids. My boys are 9 and 7 and are owls mad (especially the little one), it's hard explaining to them that we won't be going while ever chansiri is still here... They want to go, but they are at least trying to understand the bigger picture... They're called tough decisions for a reason, I'd rather they had a club to follow for life rather than give them what they think they want right now... Kind of a metaphor for parenting in general really... Each to their own and everyone has to own the consequences of their actions. UTO -
Reyt... I hardly post these days, just perv on you weirdos occasionally... I've heard today from an extremely reliable source that there is "serious interest from The States" and it isn't Shaw or the reported "derisory" bid... Apparently if things progress, the plan is for Röhl to stay (perhaps explains the lack of movement elsewhere!?) They'll have more to tell me in "2 weeks"... I know, I know, sounds like a Carlos injury update... This tallies with what The Bizzle has said and as I've said, the source is extremely reliable. Hopefully my history as a former regular poster will give people a little faith that I'm not making shiz up, but tbh I'm don't really care, just sharing what I've heard and I don't have any pictures of castles.

Brilliant tonight. Not just the unbelievable strike and the assist, but his all round play was fantastic; physical, willing and won every header. He made our system make sense (which is a rarity this season) 100% his shirt to lose.

Chansiri can't help but turn the club into a really, really bad soap opera. It's like Hollyoaks without the flange.

It's good to hear him address the elephants in his first video. -
It was always the plan to let Bannan go if we got relegated IMO. Was told by a very good source that his contract included a clause which halved his wages, and a 1 million release clause (if accurate) might be a bit on the low side, but at least gets us a fee and gets his (still inflated) wages off the books. It might be that he decides to stay, but if he leaves I think we have to look at the positives; big earner off the wage bill, money to invest in a younger, perhaps more physical replacement and the chance to build a side to play the way the manager wants to, without having to either shoehorn Bannan into a system, or build one around him... Both have been big problems for us over the last few seasons IMO.

We had to wait until we'd spent every last penny before we got rid of him though... FFS

Try on your Mrs knickers, they'll be smaller than that, but on your feet rather than chaffing your knads... Should give you a good idea of the implications ++ might bring a little excitement into your life.

He does an average job, gives up half way through and charges well over the market rate, yet plenty of fans are queuing up to have "Westy" mow the lawn.

She's a fictional character, born in the 1950's and she's dead... Fits perfectly into our likely recruitment profile.

It’s looking like it’s down to us to save the club
Bing Cosby replied to goldensmoke's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I admire the sentiment in the OP, but even if there were 10000 Wednesdayites with that sort of money, they'd want to be acquiring control of the club and not just bailing out Chansiri. There are only 2 ways that we get out of this without the club going kaput... 1. Chansiri somehow manages to pay off outstanding debts, steady the ship, finance the club in the short to medium term, lets Moore build a competitive squad for league 1 and we build back up with him taking the rearest of back seats. Or 2. He sells the club for a quid to anyone crazy enough to take it on and f**ks off. He's proved himself incapable of option 1 and would never consider the hit to his ego of choosing option 2... So by my reckoning we are completely and utterly screwed. -
I'm expecting things to get worse. Just to pay outstanding wages to players and rent on Hillsborough, Chansiri is going to have to find 15 million quid... I doubt he's got it and even if he has that's before looking to add to the squad with next to no season ticket income and extremely low potg numbers (even if that's allowed) We're f****d.

PFA want all players to submit claims for lost money

But let's be honest, he won't pay up, will he? We are on the one way ticket to oblivion IMHO. -

Have you forgotten your day out at Wembley already!? Ungrateful feckers. -
Tbh pal I thought similarly, but my source is rock solid on most things... It could be that he signed it knowing that if we got relegated he'd still be on decent whack even if a Championship club didn't come in for him.

Izzy Brown released by Chelsea
Bing Cosby replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Izzy Brown will have made millions of pounds from being an extremely lazy, average player who got nowhere near filling his potential... Everything that's wrong with football summed up in one individual. -
Can't be arsed to read the whole thread... I've heard similar re Shaw and was also told by same source that Urhoghide wouldn't be signing his offered contract... It's a completely backward way to run a football club, but I can't see how anyone can be surprised. Apparently Bannan's new contract involved a 50% wage reduction clause on relegation. It's still a ridiculous distribution of finances, but I think it will at least allow Championship clubs to offer him a similar or better contract and get him off the books.
