The right to peaceful protest *in public places* exists however as private property, the owner of that property doesn't have to allow banners etc in or even allow protests (although stopping 20000 football fans from say chanting Cha*Siri* is a fat lying **** would be difficult).

Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds OMDT
dannybgoode replied to Maddogbob's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
One word Outstanding -
Just driven home from the station past the ground. There are fans arriving but not very busy and no traffic to speak of. This is just the sort of match I'd have taken the boy to but not tonight...
-
Not as embarrassing as say losing 4-1 to Bristol City at home
-
To be honest, all things considered I think we've played outstandingly well. Even a full, fit squad would have found this a tutti first fixture. Such a shame we couldn't hang on this a point (well there's a couple of minutes) but both players and supporters have done the club proud. Now cluck if cun*tciri and let a proper owner give things a go.

£29.16 to cash out my £5 winning bet and £10 to cash out the draw almost tempted to bank the tenner as that would cover the bets.
-
It has got a bit dusty in here hasn't it?!
-
Yessssssssss And did anyone else notice the commentators shut up during the Ch*nsiri out chant?

Touch of class from the Leicester fans. Nicely done. And draws even more attention to what's going on As to the game - not a bad start...
-
Pretty much this. The starting 11 isn't too horrific...
-
Betfred were offering me £2.46 to cash out my £5 bet yesterday. They're now offering me £5.06 to cash that out and £5.20 to cash out my £5 draw bet.

I've stuck £5 on the win and £5 on the draw. It's the championship, the lesser fancied team sometimes wins and at those odds may as well take a punt.

Owls v United Matchday Thread

First ever derby and managed to get tickets for me and the boy. Looking forward to it - I'll take a win of any type. Drab 1 0 to a tense 2 1 or whatever -
It's not the hat...

To the tune of Super Josh... Where are all the Josh Where are all the Josh Where are all the Josh Joshy Windass haters... Been a goal machine of late, just hope he stays fit but so far this season he's been immense

Josh Windass proves people wrong

Yep. Who was missing when we had that critical dip in form towards the end of 22/23 season? -
Just five points off the playoffs
dannybgoode replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
As importantly we're now 12 points from the drop. Not that long ago we were about 3 points from both PO's and the drop and the mid-table was very congested with a good number of teams on the same points or within a point. There's now a very decent gap to the drop, still within reach of the POs and small but noticeable gaps opening up to the lower half of the table. I'll take that at this point of the season... -

Always liked him. Don't get the haters and I'm sure there plenty of other teams that would love to have him play for them. Scored some crackers of late and scored some vital goals in the run in last season too. Knows the club well and gives some stability to the squad... -
It's going to be hard to get more...

Derby County v Owls Matchday Thread
dannybgoode replied to Holmowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Got to be happy with that. Ok a bit of luck but also a bit of quality. Only a couple of weeks ago we were basically 3 points from the playoffs and 3 points from the drop zone. We're now 5 points from playoffs but 10 points from the drop. I'll take that at this point of the season... -
I can only parrot the thread title - reyt ball that. And Windass does well, keeps his eye on it all the way and gives himself a moment instead of trying to volley it first touch.
-
Marv scored some important goals in the run in last season. He stays. I'd keep Smith also. Useful bit player for a chance in the last 5 mins or if we're struggling with injuries. Pato. I like him and again at least useful as a sub but if he goes and he goes happy then that's fine. Wilks and Bambo I think are not useful to the squad going forward.

Any must win games coming up to hit that target?
