Yeah it is what it is with him really Some days he is going to be outstanding and you can see why is a full US international and then some days you can see why he was available to us in that situation and basically 3rd/4th choice at a League 1 side

Is it unlucky for Portsmouth? Of course it is but that's just the way things go sometimes As others said you can't just stop play whenever someone goes down when facing an awkward or tough situation. It wasn't like it left an open goal either, Brown still had a Job to do in keeping calm in that siuation and finishing it which can't have been easy facing your 1st career goal opportunity

Why just away games, let's make it every game We've actually played better away than we have at home so far at least Scored in both away games and in truth were unlucky to not draw vs Leicester and win vs Wrexham Although a lot of the early season spirit and fight seems to have faded recently and Saturday could well get ugly.

But who is going to be outspoken about what's going on and not be afraid of there job security in the process? If we want a manager to be outspoken about those above him we would end up having a new manager every week

Who do we want in the next round

What's our lowest ever attendance? Thus could smash it -
When does money for progressing in cups come in? Does it come in round by round every time a club advances? Or is it handed out once a team is eliminated? Or is it given at the end of the season? Though I just googled for an answer which I didn't get but didn't realise the actual amount for the EFL Cup is pretty miniscule in the grand scheme and won't help him out anyway

What would the gate have been normally?
leeowls87 replied to WimJunk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Yeah if it's the same round as now then between 18-22,000 I'd guess would be around the number Of course if it were a QF or something then probably a sell out -
Wouldn't some of those just be sponsoring the competition and not the club directly? Like Kelloggs was just advertised I can't imagine they are sponsoring the club in any way.

Getting relegated wont magically solve everything overnight as there is no guarantee at all he sells even if that happens.

SWFC vs Stoke City Official Matchday Thread

Was he not injured? He came off at HT in the Bolton game I assumed due to some sort of injury or niggle -
Has his name been removed from the north??

With how skint we are I hardly doubt we can even afford the extra Blue Chairs needed to replace Chansiri with. -
Charles bids from Rangers and West Ham
leeowls87 replied to SallyCinnamon's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
£1 million is an insult Yes we need the money to help towards the wage bill but that shouldn't allow teams to come in with totally lowball offers He is also surely one of our lowest paid 1st team squad members currently so not like Chansiri is saving much getting his money of the wage bill. For him as a player it will be a tough decision between playing every game but being paid a fraction of what he is truly worth or going to be a bigger club and just sit on the bench (if that) but earn a bit more. Hopefully he favours playing and commits to staying and as soon as a takeover is completed a new contract can be sorted immediately. -

Christ we've just won an enjoyable game of football playing a load of kids Why are people arguing about people posting other teams scores??? Who gives a flyin fizz Can't we as a fanbase just enjoy a good moment in a season we fear may not have many? Save the schoolyard bickering for another day- 994 replies

Get in!!!! Mental game this -
Its a 5 right now I think a sale will eventually happen by the end of the calender year Whether that's forced by the regulator or just accepting an offer remains to be seen but his time is slowly ticking away just not quick enough to save our season
-
No need to opt out and admit defeat when the worst case scenario is just play kids and almost certainly lose and don't have to worry about it Or best case the kids play and get vital experience and actually maybe win a game or 2. Opting out shouldn't even be an option

He will only miss the cup game won't he? He likely wasn't playing in it anyway
-
Windass and Smith went because they were only retained on club options for this season Not paying them voided that option and that was why we didn't fight there appeal and just released them as we knew they'll likely win the appeal. That's what I gathered anyway, i think everyone else in the squad if paid within the 15 days has to stay.

Our current players are barely able to use the facilities let alone allowing an ex player to use them Is there anyone involved with the club that was even here when Antonio was for him to have good relations with? Palmer would be the only one from the squad but everything else about the club has probably had massive turnover in the 13 years since he left which was even pre DC arriving.

It's OK having 20,000 people put in 1,000 to make a bid or even raising £40,000,000 (with various people putting in more) and getting a bit accepted What about next month when the Wages need paying and HMRC need paying and all the other costs associated with running a business Where does that money come from? Can't expect the 20,000 to reach into there pockets again can we? It's a nice idea on paper but just isn't practical or doable in today's English Football pyramid if you want to be successful in any sort of way

David Richards (not THAT one)
leeowls87 replied to thebizzle's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Even if a Takeover is months away and won't help much this season if it brags into winter and into the new year but the fact if we can categorically show the EFL wheels are in motion about a sell it should buy us time and prevent them potentially kicking us out the league entirely which is looming more and more if things keep on at the current rate. Could any new owner at least forward money to help fix the North Stand immediately and at least sort that issue out quickly -
Is this the same deal as last month with the players where if he is paid between now and the 15th he can't walk?
