  1. I honestly don't think it is (I don't think he knows how to plan) because incredibly we've employed at least 2 additional coaches over recent weeks.
  2. Unfortunately, its been necessary since the Tolpuddle Martyrs in the early 1800s.
  3. The politics section is in another part of the site. In there you'll be able to refer to thousands of examples of similar degrees of cronyism in the 14 years of the previous Conservative government.
  4. Are you gonna tell him or shall I?
  5. Where have you got the idea that the Trust's whole strategy is about defunding cuntsiri, it's certainly a major part of it but not the only part. Another strand has been about raising awareness both locally and nationally about the way he's destroying one of the longest running professional football clubs in the country. Was the march from the Crucible to Hillsborough Park about defunding him? No!! Was the 5 minute delay before fan's entered the stadium at Leicester about defunding him? No!! Was the protest outside the Thai embassy in London about defunding him? No!! Was the march through Hillsborough Park behind a SWFC adorned coffin about defunding him? No!! I'm sure you've got my drift. This is about building up the momentum of the protests in another new way, in front of the Sky camera's for maximum impact. Yes, I accept that he won't have to spend extra money for the additional stewards that he could suddenly find funding for, but what's to stop the threat of pitch invasions being used for other home games this season; absolutely nothing, so nothing lost in that respect.
  6. More evidence, if it was still needed, for the Regulator to pursue and remove the narcissistic man-baby.
  7. The bottom one; non payment of players
  8. When did he say this pal, because as far as I'm aware most players haven't received their end of September pay and most non-playing staff have only received a portion of their expected wage. This would suggest that he hasn't secured such funding.
  9. Yep, we arrange our own minibus to games, and following a WhatsApp group chat this morning, the minibus has been cancelled for the Boro game. That's 8 adults and 1 Junior ST holders not attending the game.
  10. I know what you mean, but look at from a more positive perspective. If those numbers turned out to be true, that's between two-thirds and three-quarters NOT renewing and that's in addition to those who have already taken a similar stance over the past few seasons. Those kinds of numbers would be totally unprecedented for a club the size of Wednesday.
  11. I don't disagree with your points, and I really respect those fans that have already made the decision to boycott, whether that has been for this season or even longer as in your case. I've mentioned previously on here that I reluctantly made the decision to renew my season ticket early in the first phase, and based on the shitshow we've seen since March onwards (I know crap was happening before that, but I don't think even the most enlightened boycotter could have foreseen just how bad things would get) it's a decision I regret. However, I've also said I can't change that decision so I'm not going to beat myself up over it., but I can determine what I'm going to do going forward. People can and should make there own choices, and I'll respect whatever choices they make even if personally I don't agree with them. Some people, and maybe I include myself in this, worry that their individual choice will have little impact in isolation and therefore will be more inclined to take specific actions if part of a coordinated and concerted drive. Sorry for my ramblings, I'm just trying to make what sense I can out of what's recently been happening to our club, and maybe put a slightly different perspective so we can all understand each other better. After all, we all want the same thing at the end of the day.
  12. IMO the Trust have manged the protests brilliantly so far, they've built them up, consolidated support and then added to them piece by piece, thereby building momentum on the way. Some people have been calling for total boycotts of everything, but for many people that's a step too far. We've got to the stage now where they are calling for a boycott of a home game. Let's see how successful that is. I know Owlstalk isn't fully representative of the wider Wednesday fanbase, but initial reactions on here are really positive, so I'm hopeful that we'll see a massive reduction in home attendees for the game. If successful, consolidate further and build again. That's the stage to take the next step and call for a boycott of an away game; then reflect and consider next steps. The Trust have said all along that this won't be a quick fix, so they've developed a strategy accordingly, whilst so far taking the majority along with them. To go in all guns blazing at the beginning would IMO have veen counter-productive and could have alienated more fabs than encouraged. We need to trust them to continue to implement that strategy whilst continuing to build wider support within the fanbase. That's the only way we'll get rid of this cowardly narcissistic parasite.
  13. Thanks for your response. I'm one of those ST holders you mention who renewed at the last early bird prices. I did so with some reluctance based on the previous embargoes and late payment of wages but did so none the less. Its a decision I now regret based on the shitshow since March onwards. I can't change the past so I'm not going beat myself up over it, however I can positively make changes going forward; one being not renewing whilstever he is still in charge. I also believe many more are of the same or similar opinion, though as you say not everybody is on board with that change. I'm quite positive that a significant majority will not renew whilst he's still in charge, but we won't know final figures until much later. We'll just have to wait and see.
  14. Where do you get that figure from Lawrie? I can only go on the people on our minibus who are ST holders (8 adult and 1 junior) and not 1 are renewing. The 4 others that often come to some games with us (previously bought memberships so attend 10-15 games via potg), have not been to a game so far this season and don't intend to whilst he's still in charge. I know it's only a small sample, but I'd be surprised more than 5000 renewed. That's still too high imo, but it would be a major blow to his income streams if numbers were anywhere close to that figure.
  15. My point!! Who cares what L**ds would do. Riots in the city; are you sure!! I'm sick and tired of so called Wednesday fans continuing to slag other Wednesday fans for trying something different to change things. You haven't had a positive thing to say for months about things that fans are doing, but at least some are trying to change things through positive action. I include people like you who are making their own stand by not attending games. Well done, but your non attendance on its own won't change things, it has to coincide with other things that keep the media's attention, and 20, 30 40 people that go on the pitch, live on Sky, will have in all respect have more impact than you not attending games. That's my point.
  16. Were you on the pitch Sally?
  17. Yeah, look at the last stadium in Rome they knocked down to rebuild
  18. Not everyone will agree with this, but my interpretation of the two is as follows: Fans - those that attend games regularly, whether that's home, away or both. I include in this definition, those fans who normally regularly attend games who are currently boycotting because of our nobhead owner, but who have committed to returning once the charlatan has gone. Fanbase - everyone else that count themselves as Wednesday supporters. They may only attend a handful of games per season, usually the 'bigger' or more attractive games i.e. cup games against Premier league teams, derby games, Wembley appearances, etc. The 'fanbase' shows the potential of the club when doing well or when the team are more successful.
  19. I thought it came off Horvath's back. Really unlucky whoever it hit.
  20. On reflection, you're right about me calling out fans suggesting they shouldn't contribute to discussions if they don't agree with a suggested form of action; that is the point of this forum after all. On your other points, like you, I will respectfully disagree with them. Points deductions - do you honestly believe that after at least 8 different embargoes over the past 5/6 months (no doubt with more to come) we're not going to get at least one points deduction? more likely multiple deductions are on their way, and not one of those will be because of actions fans have taken. We're going to be relegated anyway, so one more won't make the slightest difference. Fines; stadium closures - Good; the first is something additional that the charlatan of an owner will have to pay; the second deprives him of the ability to do so - even more ammunition for the Regulator once up and running. With regards invading the pitch; I'm 60 years old, sit on row 40 of the North Stand and I'm 5' 6", so if I was inclined to join in, unfortunately, by the time I've managed to walk down 40 rows of steps, climb over the stand wall and navigate the advertising hoardings, the protest would be over . 40 years ago in my prime and I would definitely have been joining in, however I'll not criticise those with the passion, drive and commitment to do so should they so choose. If the human race had consistently decided against taking any form of action because the repercussions of doing so weren't known, we'd still be living in caves (ok, not the best analogy, but hopefully you get the point I'm trying to make). And lastly, I've not been called a pillock in years, so thanks for that, I think it's a fantastic word that seems to be going out of common usage, more's the pity.
  21. At last, a man with a touch of style and etiquette, sadly lacking from much of today's society.
  22. And exactly the same point can be made by those advocating invading the pitch on Saturday. If you're not in favour of it, and I'm not saying you're one of them, keep out of the discussion and let those that want to pursue this course of action get on and do it. I'm sick of the constant belittling on here of any kind of action that's proposed if it doesn't fit with your narrative. You do what you want to do, whether it's boycotting games, wearing a black and yellow scarf or not spending a pound in the ground. Can't we just support whatever people want to do instead of dragging it down because you don't agree.
  23. Should make his mind up who he supports then, thick tvvat
  24. The theory behind VAR is great, in that it's original intention and a phrase you still hear commentators use today, was to identify mistakes/errors that were "clear and obvious". Now we get 5 minute stops to determine that a strikers toenail was closer to the goal than the defenders arsehair and therefore was offside. It's ludicrous and spoils what otherwise should be a spectacle of enjoyment (or not, our case )
  25. And on the plus side, it won't cost much
