DC can find money when he wants
Beauchief Owl replied to SheffWed's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
What's happened re the 7.4 million owed re the stadium on the 30th of September.? I thought the Cancer had to repay a large chunk of the loan. Has he done so considering he was reported as having 7 days grace to do so? I was hoping that this would cause him serious trouble as the loan was not likely to be rolled over yet again. -
Whenever Ugbo comes on whether it be 2 minutes or 20 minutes before the end I wonder what is the point?

I think we should do that every home match

Like arresting nearly 500 fans in London for carrying placards in a peaceful protest? -

If games are played behind closed doors surely refunds would have to be issued to fans who have bought STs. Closed stadiums would be a bad look for the EFL and IFR. TBH I can't see it getting that far. -

I suppose he'll have to keep employing at least as many in future or he'll be seen as being neglectful after one invasion with the argument being he's putting players at risk. Hope the pitch invasion is accompanied with a hefty fine as well. -

Love to see a big fine for the pitch invasion today. At he very least he'll have to pay for more security in all probability. -

Well given the attendance today and the ridiculous POTG charges the take from the Coventry fans ought to be enough for wages to be paid this week. -

Of course he's got money. He always manages to pay wages mid way through the month so that he can keep his grubby little claws on the club. So why does he not pay the players on time? My view is that he wants to give the players the reason for tearing up their contracts, the higher paid ones that is, so they'll leave in January thus reducing his costs again so that he can keep control. He's a spiteful little dictator IMO. -

Players told they won't be paid on time AGAIN
Beauchief Owl replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Players told they won't be paid on time again (ever?). Is Chansiri just hoping that players will leave in January, those on decent wages that is, will tear up their contracts like Smith and Windass by giving them grounds for doing so? Seems strange he's doing everything possible to get costs down and getting the club relegated with increasing sanctions yet he still manages to find the money for wages after the deadline so he can keep his grubby hands on the club. Why is the money found then but not at the end of the month? -
How have we not been docked points yet?
Beauchief Owl replied to ThisCityIsOurs88's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Can only imagine constant wage problems leading to greater punishments and maybe they just add points to the total to be deducted. It would really be pathetic if part of the punishment is carried over to next season. -
Please explain.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Birmingham omdt

Yeah but who does DC sell in January without replacing? Can we stay clear of more long term injuries. We're fighting hard but our pathetic owner is too big a millstone round our neck IMO. -

You're assuming DC can provide evidence he'll be able to finance the deal for the season. Questionable. -
Fans putting pressure on players to strike is only likely to make themselves question why they remain part of the circus. They want to play football, they don't want to be pawns in this internal fight to the death, they'll be off and TBH who could blame them?
-
When the player's take action it may well be to go the same way as Windass and Smith by tearing up their contracts and finding another club. It's even reported we won't be able to sign Grainger and Alao on full contracts when they reach 17 shortly and we will lose the two promising youngsters for nowt. The Cancer is killing the club.

TBH I think we only need another Ugbo thread when he's actually contributed something. Worth pointing out however that Dom scored more league goals in the first half today than Ike did in the whole of last season.

Anybody paying the POTG prices are quite simply mugs who are willing to be mugged.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Portsmouth🇦🇺 OMDT
Beauchief Owl replied to Maddogbob's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Brown has now scored more Championship goals this season than Ugbo did in the whole of last season. -
Can he afford to replace him? Maybe he'll compensate him with African gold.
-
Given we're likely to get a big points deduction, possibly even added to as the Cancer may not yet meet all wages and other expenditures over the coming months, I believe it's possible we'll end up with single points and even minus points. Bear in mind he's likely to sell but can't replace and we may well have an even weaker squad in the second half of the campaign.

Supporters' Trust - Boycott Stance
Beauchief Owl replied to SWFC Trust's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
TBH ask yourself what is the more painful, not going or watching an uncompetitive squad generally getting battered and having to pay for the privilege knowing the money is going to the Cancer? -
Stupid idea. ST holders bought their tickets in the main when the situation was much brighter. Stopping fans from entering the ground would not stop the Cancer from getting that money, he already has it. Not only would your idea not work it would lead to violence and would most likely be against the law.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Bristol City OMDT
Beauchief Owl replied to Maddogbob's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Once fans become truly apathetic then the club is in real danger. At the moment there is a considerable amount of totally understandable anger directed at possibly the worst owner a Championship club has ever had. Anger means people care, protests mean people care, apathy means they no longer care.
