  1. Just what I was told - they invested in new equipment last summer and this summer (even the new guys states this) Salaries have always been competitive, but struggling to get staff has caused issues for the department as it adds to a demanding work load.
  2. I spoke to my old man who said that he was told he left Man City in the summer due to a new man coming in and he didn’t get along with that new head man, so he’s been unemployed for a while and this job came up so he took it to “get back in the game”. He travels from Manchester daily - which can’t be much fun especially in winter. Also I’m informed that DC has always been supportive of groundstaff with salaries and machinery etc it seems it’s just hard to find staff in certain industries hence why the club struggle to attract people for grass roles. The previous head man has gone to Sheffield united on a few £k more, but club did offer more money to him however. This is the 5th head man in 5-6 years, however it seems the previous 3 were already at the club in an assistant position after they replaced the young lad they had from Scunthorpe. Good luck to the new man and hopefully he has some magic in his shed to get us through the season and beyond.
  3. Yeah they have a head groundsman and 2 assistants, think it was a case of they needed extra hands so the office staff etc came from what I saw on that article. Current Head Groundsman only came last year, he was there previously and job was too much for them apparently and he’s going to United to work at their Training Ground - my old man told me who is friends with some staff there. Don’t think it’s a case of Chansiri not supporting them as he has done with new machinery and new under pitch heating system - it’s more a case of the job being too much for a small team as they can’t seem to find staff to employ hence why one advert has been out constantly. I saw at last game there was only 2 staff on pitch before game and 3 at HT - there used to be 4 or 5 on there.
  4. Or could be that Chris Chansiri owns that company - hence just reposted their social media posts
  5. They may be chansiri”s master plan
  6. Very worried as seems we have no groundsman and no real quality for the championship!! Top 6 finish needs top 6 players and stability
  7. Because she was far too good to work at the club and had no control
  8. Next is the stadium naming rights! Guaranteed that’s next on the agenda
  9. Mental!! No way to be protected and I bet as soon as ppl get close to the ground they get mugged by a gang of Swfc staff in balaclava
  10. The worrying part is “for as long as club ain’t in premiership” which says “when we reach the premier we will charge £2k for a season ticket”
  11. I’m sorry but he’s defo trolling us all now!!!
  12. Service in what way? Do you mean furlough and borrowing funds from schemes like every other football club? and deferring HMRC payments.
  13. Used to be a fiver now £500 per person unfortunately and have to go at either 3am or 10pm with extra for lighting - a minimum of 10 ppl
  14. All this for the promised land of the Premier League! Does anyone really want the club to be in the Premier? what does it actually achieve other than better revenue streams? If we get promoted its just another way to rinse fans and do a Blackpool where he can take as much back from the club as possible
  15. Like what has done by previous owners in the past - Rotherham, Barnsley and Hull spring to mind
