I'm pretty sure that the original report was from a twitter account that stated he wanted to post a statement prior to going into administration and the club said no. Which seems to show that the report was fake as he was in sole charge of the club at the time. Unless he refused himself

A possible problem may be that they can only give assurances that wages can be paid in the short term. They won't be able to give any assurances on behalf of whoever the new owners may be.
