  1. Should Palmer have been hooked at 70-75 mins? It’s been a great effort tonight but the small squad is finding us out late on in games. Get these injured players back asap and maybe we hold on in these type of games. I fear Coventry on Saturday will be a tad tricky
  2. Would be nice if we could hear that some injured players are heading back to training
  3. Yep that’s how I remember seeing Hillsboro for the first time aged 11…walking towards the ground down Herries road. 2-2 draw with Man Utd
  4. How could I forget the fastest milk cart in the West (someone mentioned him earlier) and…. Sesame Street’s own Bert and Ernie!
  5. Dream team…” Pato, Mortimer and Whitehouse Go Fishing” blockbuster right there
  6. Top man Pato…I only hope he’s found some good fishing in amongst the roundabouts and concrete cows
  7. In fact…if someone on ‘ere could list all the missed opportunities we’ve had since 1960…it would be a list as long as your arm!
  8. It was short sighted of Wednesday to let Catterick go…and typical of Taylor. Taylor would have swayed the boards decision anyway, but Catterick could easily have had a phone call from Everton telling him the job was his. He came back to haunt us in the infamous ‘66 cup final though. We never learn do we, opportunity knocks and we never get off our arse to open the door!
  9. I can only think of Ernie Blenkinsop, Ernie Hunt ( that free kick with Willie Carr), Ernie Shavers (boxer) and Ernie Wise…oh and the premium bond selector machine thing… but Well done Ernie Weaver today, long may it continue.
  10. As I recall… that period in the 70’s was when our name changed to : “Sheffield Wednesday Nil”
  11. No such place as St Johnstone…think they play in Perth. Australia is a long way for an away day!
  12. Is he Colin “Binman” Walker’s son?
  13. Ha ha good old Eric…his career in the diplomatic corps didn’t last long!
  14. IIRC that 0-0 v Tottenham at the end of the season was Tommy Craig’s debut?
  15. I remember that too…think I was sat on the South terrace as it was then.
