Don't agree at all mate. We've steadied a bit under Pulis, with possibly the roughest run of fixtures anyone in the league will have all season. We've taken a couple of points from teams we'd expected to lose to and we've almost had all 3. We're coming into, what are on paper, much more winnable games, so we should start getting some more points on the board.
Right now the -6 points is big, as we've not played that many games. as the season goes on it'll have less of an impact on our position and it'll be more about our actual form.
There's also a host of awful sides in this league. Wycombe will struggle to the end. QPR have lost their last 3. Barnsley have both lost 3 of their last 4, while Forest and Rotherham have both lost 4 of their last 5. We've better than that even when we're just playing the top teams.
Anyone worried about a 'steady decline' over the last 3 years is a bit short-sighted. Last season we finished 16th. Pre-Chansiri we've only finished higher than that twice since we dropped out of the premier league! Twice! Say it again.. our worst finish under Chansiri and we've only finished higher twice before he came!
We've got (by and large) decent players, and an experienced manager who knows how to steady a ship and get promoted. I'm fairly confident we'll end up midtable this season and it'll be a busy summer yet again with money to spend to refresh the squad. This season might not be a stellar one, but we're on a path to recovery.
