  1. You do realise laws can be repealed and the covenant was that the land is for the people, so IF the new owners agreed to make the existing stadium into a recreational park, then the people of Sheffield do NOT lose any green space!
  2. Well if Birmingham can create one with chimney stacks. Why can’t we create something that in some way resembles an owl?
  3. My uncle in bridge of Allen is from blue side of Sheffield and I’m sure follows what’s going on!
  4. If they’re being gifted the existing stadium site and a new park built, then the people don’t miss out. They’d get a new recreational space full of green!
  5. A new stadium in Hillsborough park is ideal location. I’m sure that this would have been part of the discussion with the council, to moot whether it’s possible to buy the land. As stated previously, money talks and I’m sure the council would appreciate the funds and increased business rates! An idea using the Birmingham one as inspiration! Hillsborough Steel City Stadium. A purpose built 44, 000 capacity stadium. Retractable roof for bad weather and for acoustics at concerts etc. Ground shape representation of an owl. Retractable roof as the owl body! One stand end behind the goal as head of owl (home) other stand behind the goal as feet (away). Both stands on pitch length as the wings (by owls side-not spanned out). 14,000 in home end-head 12,000 in each pitch length stand- wings 6,000 in away end - feet
  6. Plenty in certain parts of Solihull. Well North Solihull aka Chelmsley Wood!
  7. It depends on how they count it. Solihull (where Bham airport is) has a population of around 220k. Sandwell has 350k They’re both bordering Birmingham. Bit like how Greater Manchester increases its population!
  8. The only reason owners give loans to clubs is to circumnavigate the ffp rules. They’re not allowed to GIVE money about a certain amount, but they are allowed to loan it . So a new owner worth billions could in theory loan the club 200 million over say 30 years and put in no payments due back for x amount of time and charge 0% interest. The club could then buy 8-9 top championship quality players for 10 -15 million each on 4 year contracts. If they’ve not gone up after 2 years. Sell them on and go again!
  9. I’m sure I heard that it’s been reported somewhere (but I can’t find it) where Kris Wigfield (from Begbies) said that the club debt had gone down from 60 something million to 50 something million! Can anybody point me in the right direction to a source where this can be found? TIA
  10. Doesn’t have to be either or. If Wednesday ARE bought by seriously wealthy owners, fixing the ground situation and training facilities is not to the detriment of player recruitment. Stadium and other facilities are exempt from FFP P & S rules!
  11. Look, James Milner is 39 and still getting game time in the premier league. Bannan is 4 years younger and be playing 2 leagues lower. He’ll be reyt!
  12. Not sure I agree with the statement he’s a psychopath! especially given he’s considered to be one of the most philanthropic people on the planet!
  13. Bill Gates a state of the art stadium MS Steel stadium with glass window roof with MS logo on it
