  1. So am I but I just have concerns about EFL dragging things out and who would take a non scoring striker on a pretty high wage.
  2. Might be easier said than done. Firstly the only way the administrators can make that sort of decision is if someone offers a fee for him to help pay off creditors. Second who would pay a fee for a striker without a league goal for well over a season. Last we may not have new owners in control in the next transfer window. If a consortium is involved the EFL fit and proper process may drag on while all parties are investigated. I have an awful feeling we’re going to be stuck with him for a while yet.
  3. I won’t blame Peterson for anything that happens this season. No manager in the world could turn this seasons results around with the players /hin the current squad. If we can get the remaining embargoes lifted we will still have to work within profit and sustainability rules so even next season will be an up hill battle in L1. Having said that though a new owner will expect progress having spent tens of millions. Depends who we get but new owners usually want their own choices in charge and running the club. Summing up I think and hope Peterson is pretty safe this season by will probably gone by this time next year.
  4. In a city the size of Sheffield sites could be found. If you really mean no suitable sites in and around the Hillsborough area then I would agree. If we are getting a new owner with big sums of cash available and real ambition to turn us into Premier League contenders then surely a new stadium with good transport links will be a priority. Sadly this would need to be away from Hillsborough but in my humble opinion would be a true sign of wanting to improve the status of the club.
  5. I never leave before the end even when we’re losing heavily. Just don’t see the point of paying over the odds then not seeing the whole thing. Seen too many fans miss last minute or stoppage time goals. Am I an old skinflint insisting on getting my moneys worth? Or a true dyed in the wool fan ?
  6. All well and good providing they have the very long arms to match.
  7. People like Ashley hanging back hoping for a £10 million bargain out of admin. With 10 interested bargain hunters gonna be disappointed .I suspect.
  8. You can get all that information and a free stadium tour from Begbies. Just show them evidence of your £50 million.
  9. Except that by cutting inside during Saturday’s game he scored a great goal. Think he realised centering from the byline to our current batch of strikers is a waste of effort.
  10. He’s going to be playing Premier League next season.
  11. Might just be that we have three players who spent most of their careers in full/wing back positions now trying to be centre backs.. As far as not conceding in the second half of games, well it might just be that opponents are so far ahead they just ease off. Let’s face it we don’t have the players available to compete effectively. Getting Charles Weaver and Bernard back would make a huge difference though.
  12. They’re gone mate but we desperately need all or some of Charles Bernard Weaver Chaloba and Brown back to fitness.
  13. The real value of any commodity is what someone is prepared to pay for it. None of us know who’s bidding yet but I suspect that the level of interest at this early stage means Simon Jordan might be in for a surprise.
  14. I remember him well when I was a North Stand season ticket holder. Used to get to where I sat at half time. I also remember a bloke wanting one for half price as half the game had already taken place. He laughed and said nice try NO.
  15. Their first duty as administrators is to provide the best outcome for the creditors so I would think his last statement is the correct one.
  16. That’s just the end date for offers and the date for sorting through the offers. Don’t expect anything for a few weeks after that.
  17. Amass is looking better the more he plays and so is Fusire after a shaky start at right wing back. Why ever Röhl thought he was a central midfielder beats me. The lad played mostly wide right before Röhl switched him. He looks more comfortable back in the position he’s used to and keeps getting into shooting positions.
  18. Went to Oxford game, first for a year, and apart from the result it felt wonderful. Can’t get there tonight but will be there for Blades game and many more now the fool has gone.
  19. Just because they’re not in the directors box doesn’t mean they’re not there.
  20. Certainly gave almost every 50/50 challenge. Think the refs are starting to have some sympathy for our situation.Especially after that Lumley dead cert penalty that the ref managed not to see recently
  21. Think you’ve just set yourself up for the job.
  22. Agreed, buying anything on line seems to have been devised in such a way as to make you lose patience and just give up.
  23. Well that’s pretty much what Manderic was doing and it wasn’t popular was it. Too many bargain basement signings and pretty dull football according to most of us at the time. BUT, by hell it was better than where we are now.
  24. I’d be more ambitious and invite Meggo, Waddle, and Leighton whatsisname too.
  25. Just a little but on reflection over 9000 tickets sold in a little over 24 hours is good going. Many fans would have made their plans for the weekend well before Friday Morning especially with it being school half term in many areas. I’m more concerned about whether that level of support and spending at the club can be maintained. The Norwich game as well as Bonfire night is on tv and Norwich, playing poorly unlikely to bring many. Difficult to see another 27000 attendance for that. Afterwards not too bad though, Blades, Derby County, Preston and Hull are all near enough to attract a good away following which will help overall numbers. Glad to hear some discounted ticket bundles between now and New Year being contemplated. Big advertising campaign for that needed if it comes to fruition.
