  1. Nope. Times have changed since Hillsborough was built and even since the WC plans. Failure to keep up is regression. The reality is if I chat to any 'casual' football fan in the southern half of this country they are shocked that Hillsborough is even still as a sporting venue. For image, financial and all sorts of transport-related practical reasons these things vastly outweigh "but what about the history"?
  2. History and tradition doesn't put bread on the table
  3. I suppose the argument is these are two different stories
  4. The report was only to do with serious interest/progress in the deal had been made. It's not the local journos fault that DC can't Google who he's dealing with
  5. Can we get taken over by a non nutcase first please?
  6. Trying too hard
  7. 3 would be bloody brilliant, IMO... so the implication it could be double that is dreamy
  8. That's separate to the number of "sensible bids"
  9. It means anywhere from 3 to 11
  10. Sorry this is utter bullshit. That's what happens when the squad is so worn down we're playing kids every week and the fans make a very public effort to back everyone during administration. If we were run properly we would be like every other club at this level: running at a loss of a ballpark of £1M a month (excluding player sale income).
  11. It's hilarious (It's not, but it also sorta is)
  12. And honestly nor should we. We are dead to rights guilty and while we all know why, Chansiri and the club have been inseparable for 10 years and his mismanagement is our cross to bear. The hope is that the authorities go with the common-sense approach: our punishment should be relegation and arguably with a record low points total for the plethora of things have done wrong... but there is no point restricting us beyond this season. There has been no competitive advantage to our lack of payments across the board, so sanctioning as if we were to somehow have an advantage next season is a waste of time. If we go into next summer able to do transfer dealings like any other League One club, after being royally shafted this season, that would be the fairest outcome. And, ya know, give us something to look forward to like...
  13. I feel like bumping all those threads where I pointed out that DC kept scrapping the cheap student tickets one could get through the unions and I was just sneered at...
  14. I mean look at it like this. I think he gets £55M for this club back in April last year with Röhl and the team we have in situ. Perhaps a little more if he's lucky, but let's just call it a ballpark of that. It sounds like he's getting £15M once all is said and done post admin, which we hope to finalise by Jan. In ~300 days he's lost himself ~£130k per day. It's incredible.
