How ironic would it be if Wilders "We've ended Wednesdays " season statement ended with them not getting automatic promotion, us qualifying for the play offs and then beating them over two legs !!

Does anybody else think the state of the pitch didn't help. I know it's the same for both sides but I feel that on a better pitch we would have put away some of the second half chances we had.

Same here. Not posted for ages but got a good feeling again. Chansiri aside there seems to be a togetherness around the club again and even the doubters and naysayers aren't posting with as much negativity as before. Long may it continue.

Watched and listened to Shrewsbury commentators. Not as biased as usual and both impressed with Iorfa and Smith and with the Wednesday performance as a whole. Just goes to show, different strokes etc. .

Being regularly disappointed comes with the territory I'm afraid. I'm 75 and been following the Owls since 1958 so had my share of heartache. Seeing a 2 goal lead slip away in the 66 final, numerous relegations, years in the wilderness of the 3rd division, non descript managers, third rate players. This season doesn't come close. If it's in your blood you can't turn it on and off I'm afraid. You're stuck with it. Anyone can support the glamour clubs. It takes dedication to support a club like ours. Think yourselves lucky you don't follow the likes of Accrington, Forest Green Morecambe and the like. They are true supporters.

Is this a new format to play the finals before the semis and first rounds ?

Just saying they're not world beaters and have looked shaky in the last two games. Not as shaky as us obviously.

Have just watched the highlights( should that be lowlights) from the midweek and weekend games of Plymouth and Ipswitch. I don't think either of them are looking unbeatable in fact over the two games we're lucky to get a result. The opposition teams had numerous chances to come away with the points. I know watching Wednesday over the recent games has been a hard watch but after watching our rivals I don't think we should write the Owls off . Ipswich's 0-3 result yesterday flattered to decieve. Take Chaplin out of their side and they would struggle like we have without Windass.

Bakinson should never kick another ball for Sheffield Wednesday .

Don't get me wrong. I really like the guy and for me he's doing a good job under difficult circumstances (re injuries). However it makes me cringe to watch his interviews. He tries to use big words but not necessarily in the right context. I bet he doesn't talk like this in front of friends and family. He's obviously not comfortable in front of the media. I'd prefer him to be his natural self in Interviews however he's still Shakespeare compared to Gary Monk.

All the right words but not necessarily in the right places. How many times does he use the words consistency and volume. Definitely needs a media coach to help him . .

Lord Snooty got me thinking of other beano characters linked to our current team. Desperate Darrren, Dennis the menace, Barry Banananaman, Smudger Smith or Smithy . Can you think of more for the rest of the side.

Are the playoffs more of a money spinner for Chansiri than automatic promotion ? Could that be a reason for the lack of motivation in the last few games. Is a relatively successful team in league one going to bring in bigger gates than a struggling championship team. Just asking?

We need to flood midfield second half.
