  1. He defo played up front in second half but don't think he scored. He came very close to an equaliser but Johnny Fantham had to follow up and score. I remember it was an entertaining game because the result didn't matter.
  2. I went to the testimonial when I was 11 years old. Got a signed black and white photograph of him with the programme. Always wanted to be a keeper like him but, in truth I couldn't catch a cold. Still have a picture of him on my laptop. Great keeper.
  3. Mine thought I had 9 inch until she realised she was holding the wrong end of the ruler
  4. My buy my missus one. It's been a while since she went down
  5. I remember a mounted police officer helped me get to the front of the queue, I was only 12 and he was worried I would get hurt. Always had respect for the police ever since
  6. Best pair we've had up front for a long time
  7. Apologies if already posted Neil Thompson’s long and storied stint at Hillsborough has come to an end, with the popular coach departing S6. Thompson began his 14-year career with Wednesday in February 2011, working under Gary Megson. He was also part of the coaching team led by Dave Jones, helping the club to a memorable promotion from League One, and then Stuart Gray.
  8. Probably sold it to pay the tax bill
  9. He could try by stop paying their wages. Oh! wait a minute.................
  10. I remember going to Hillsborough when Grummit was our goalie. We had a run of keepers called Peter with Springett, Grummit and Fox. All fine goalkeepers in my humble opin
  11. I remember wee Willy Henderson charging down the wing. Was amazing to watch
  12. Only thing consistent about us is our inconsistency
  13. Could it be because they've all been sent to Coventry? (I'll see myself out)
  14. Showing my age here but my hero was Ron Springett.
  15. It' isn't Dawson fault for not scoring. Our goals for is p155 poor. The strikers have to shoulder some of the blame.
  16. I honestly beleive the only way we can make an impact on Chansari is to boycott all our home games until changes are made, changes either in management or ownership, pregerably both. If DC wants to blame the fans then let us give him something to complain about. Forget tennis balls. forget lets get whoever sold out. Lets hit Chansari in the pocket until he can't afford to keep his death grip on our club. A club that doesn't deserve the support it's getting.
  17. Lived on the Eastern end in a small village called Avgorou. Most of the bars will show the game but not sure if I can be bothered to be honest
  18. Whilst in League one there was always the feeling that we would be in the top three or four. In a way promotion was always expected. Now that we have achieved promotion the expectation is that we will struggle. For me the lack of signings and the expectation of "losing 30 million in a season" can only mean we are in for a torrid time. I hope to be proved wrong but don't think I will be.
  19. Bakinson or Dele It's a bit like being asked would I rather be robbed or mugged
