  1. Can't blame the players if they did this and I for one would 100% back them if they did as I am sure most of our fans would. Enough is Enough Chansiri needs to go!
  2. I am a fan of Musaba. Is he frustrating at times...yes but more often than not he gets a goal or an assist. He probably should have more goals and assists but that's why he plays for us. If he was more consistent he would be playing at a higher level. He does however have some very good attributes pace, size (physicality), can use both feet. Like a few have said since he has come back from injury he has been really good. In my opinion he is one of the better players at the club that can carry the ball and get us up the pitch. Could be an important player for us next season.
  3. Not as much as I thought I would be. If you take that it is our local rivals out of the equation and look at that it is a team that’s just come down from the Prem with parachute payments, two wins in two etc you’d say it was a decent effort and move on. Unfortunately it is local rivals so it will sting a bit and linger longer. Looking ahead we seem to have some favourable fixtures coming up so hopefully pick up a few wins and forget about this result…until March!
  4. This one! It was my birthday so probably doesn't get much better in terms of a fixture to win on your birthday.
  5. This for me 100% This season is all about transitioning into DR’s style, it may even take more than a season. Getting the right players will take a long time. Personally I feel we’ve already improved the playing staff. We've got to use the loans to add better quality, hopefully from Premier League clubs. Compared to Xisco’s start last season this is chalk and cheese. Are we gonna go toe to toe with the better sides probably not but the teams around us were going to take points off them more often than not.
  6. Yes, how much we would have to spend to get a defender with his qualities. Yes, he has had his injuries but I like him, his recovery pace is frightening and is a huge asset. Hope he signs.
  7. For me it is a no brainer to try and get him back if we can next season.
  8. For me it's the fact they haven't won a home game since Feb and have sold over 40k...and as a few have said we're great at ending bad runs for other teams!
  9. I feel more nervous this week than I have the past two about staying up. As a Wednesday fan I have this feeling of dread for Saturday even though all we need to do is avoid defeat on the last match of the season to stay up.
  10. I don't mind it. As long as a few things are taken into account: You're better than the opposition or they don't know how to play against it. I would say the majority of results have shown this to be true in the most parts. And as a few have said as long DR adapts in game if it is not working. DR did this at HT against Norwich, yes it probably should have been after the first goal but he did change it and is not stubborn etc. But he has adapted in other games. How many times on here have we all said that, 'We have no style', 'What is our style of play?', 'We don't have a brand of football', etc? We have a brand/style of football now. If, a big if, we stay up DR will have a summer transfer window to get the players capable of executing his style better.
  11. Carbone and Di Canio. They were doing a signing/promotion at the JD Sports in Meadowhall, it was when white boots first became a thing. Was in the que up for ages but I did get my 97/98 home shirt signed by them both so was worth it. They didn't really say much other than hello.
  12. He has been a great signing. Looks assured on the ball, has good positioning (although the 'Hardie' incident was a bit heart in mouth last night but I am going to say he knew what he was doing), good shot stopping and very commanding/dominate when dealing with crosses into the box. If we stay up I hope he is a target for next season.
  13. I'd love for my 17 year old lad to see us play in the Premier League. I think it would be great to have World Class Players coming to Hillsborough. Me personally, I'd take a season just for the financial windfall but you know the current chairman would probably pocket the cash. Personally I think the Championship is the best league in England, such an entertaining league. Usually the title race, playoffs and relegation is closely contested. You get relegation threatened teams beating title contenders. There is also the top premier league clubs sending some of their promising players on loan and get to see future internationals play. Most of the current England Squad have had spells in the Championship.
  14. One of the reasons I stopped going to away games was the ridiculous notion of sitting in your allocated seat was wrong! I don’t mind standing up at away games but I can’t get my head around this, “We’ll stand where we want attitude.” Just stand/sit in your allocated seat. I haven’t been to an away game since the championship season when we got to the playoff final…can’t say I miss it!
  15. I like Palmer. I think he gets some unjust criticism at times. I think he is one of those players that you ask him to do a job and will do a decent job maybe not a stand out performance but you're getting a decent display from him. As for his best position, I think he's done well in midfield. I would say that's where we may see him play more as I think that's where we need the cover.
  16. Shocking prices, I sit on the South with my 17 year old son. £980 to renew...I would be sick at those prices for Premier League Football never mind potentially League One football. Imagine a few season ticket holders not renewing at all!
  17. My opinion for what's it worth: Dawson - Yes - would look at him being a No 2 not sure he'd want that mind but he is a capable back up at least. Iorfa - Yes - was getting back to his best then was injured - which seems to be his Wednesday career in a nutshell but deffo worth another year at least. Brennan - Not seen enough of him but doesn't appear to be in any plans so would release. Bernard - Yes -Priority Number one on the list I would say - such a good player. Palmer - Yes - shown he can come in and do a job where asked - criminally underrated at times. Vaulks - Yes - has been a key player in our up turn in form deserves another year or two. Byers - This is the tricky decision for me - can be excellent on his day but can also be a passenger - undecided see how he performs the rest of the season Bakinson - Release, I actually think he has done ok when asked this season would just look to move on and get better quality in. Bannan - Yes no brainer -a modern day Wednesday legend, what a player. Windass - Yes, we just look a better side with him in it. Can be an absolute nuisance for the opposition. Gregory - Great in League One for us and that assist at Wembley will not be forgotten but for me we need to move on.
  18. Was going to say the same thing. Reminded me of the Phillips challenge in the play off final so should be a red card.
  19. I agree. Like many under Xisco looked out of sorts to say the least. He has definitely improved, he just needs a goal. Although it still didn't stop one 'fan' booing him when he was announced as coming at HT...ridiculous!
