    Just the 70s owl for me. No swfc, no 1867, no Yorkshire rose, no shield. Just the owl. Everyone knows who it is. It's iconic.

    I think this is overall a good thing, but what happens if Dodgy Dej just says "What's it got to do with you" when the EFL exercise their powers to request info? Does he have to take the fit and proper test again?

    I was indoctrinated at a very early age by my dad and granddad. Used to get a cream double decker from Wordsworth Avenue (cost 2 new pence) to Hillsborough. Obviously this was the 70s, so we were bobbins, but it's never left me, despite being surrounded on this side of the Pennines by Man City, Man Ure and Liverpool fans.

    I'm struggling to get "I know, but can't say" from that "I don't know" / "dunno". To me he's genuinely saying he doesn't know. Anyway, it doesn't matter, some Americans are buying us within 2 weeks (apparently), so it's obviously going to be a Waltons/Textor mega consortium. Isn't it?

    I'm at that point too. All the false hope has left me so jaded. Dodgy Dej has played a blinder I think.

    I have a suspicion we could surprise Leicester, realistically we might even sneak a draw (I'm obviously hoping for an Ugbo hat trick of penalties in a 3 nil win though). But then we'll get hammered by Stoke and the rot will set in.

    Why is the apostrophe in the "I'm" the wrong way round? Is it deliberate? Normally a fan of Mr McKee, but not this one I'm afraid.

    I'm mildly optimistic that we won't go down and will fight for every point. But then I usually start every season hugely optimistic that we'll win the league, so I wouldn't read too much into that! I am also mildly optimistic that we'll be taken over soon. But I KFA, like most of us, so I may simply be deluded.

    Not to put a dampener on this, I hope it's true, but I thought I'd seen it somewhere that even this wasn't possible under the rules of the restrictions? Can anyone confirm (or hopefully deny) this?

    Macclesfield FC still have "since 1874" on the badge. Everyone still thinks of them as the same team as Macclesfield Town.
