  1. Exactly. As a fan who's boycotting matchday tickets and ifollow, I've never felt more disconnected from the club I love. I'd normally be at the majority of Saturday kickoffs and would watch every single game online if not in the flesh. Now I'm only watching the ones that are available on Sky, and it feels bloody horrible. The more fans I see refusing to disrupt their usual routine and continuing to hand Chansiri money, the more disillusioned I become with the whole thing, to be honest with you. I thought there'd be more solidarity, quite frankly.
  2. I guarantee some will still hand him money for their 'early bird' season tickets whenever he puts them on sale.
  3. Really interesting listen. The belief that Moore and his team instilled in those players is unbelievable, really. The middle act of the most incredible two weeks that any football fan is ever likely to live through.
  4. Sorry, but for me that's unacceptable. I couldn't look myself in the eye knowing I'd handed money to the bloke who's systematically killing our club this season. Not a penny more. The boycott is our strongest form of protest.
  5. That's a massive shame for him. His emergence been one of the few bright spots in a very dark time for Wednesday. Hope he gets back playing again soon.
  6. Reading these kinds of posts really rams home what's at stake here. Two fans with a century of combined support willing to walk away for the good of our club. Hats off to you. I hope everyone has your resolve when push comes to shove, because even as a boycotting fan who previously relied on matchday tickets and ifollow, it's bloody hard suddenly feeling so disconnected from the club we love.
  7. The sponsor was the only good thing about it.
  8. Why not? Great conversation starter...
  9. Most of the players aren't Wednesday fans - they're just doing their job. Going on strike could have serious implications for them. They're taking legal advice from the PFA, and clearly they're not at the point of being advised to withdraw their labour. I'm also not sure it's reasonable to expect the players to take such drastic action when we've got thousands of Wednesday fans still handing their money to the bloke they want rid of.
  10. Yep - all tickets sold will count towards the official attendance. It's a league-wide policy, not a Wednesday thing.
  11. Good call. Many of us have been suggesting such a move for a while now. Love this bit, too: "Your empty seat will speak louder than a thousand words."
  12. I was chatting to some Forest fans yesterday, and they're not impressed with him at all. None of them wanted Nuno to leave, and none of them wanted Ange bringing in. They reckon he's tried to change too much too soon.
  13. We've been better away than at home for the past couple of years - I think it's more tactical than anything else. And even if not, results on the pitch are very much secondary to ridding ourselves of Chansiri right now. I agree though, those who've already handed him their cash might as well keep going at home. Hopefully they'll take the opportunity to defund him when his 'early bird' offer rolls around again...
  14. Just stay in the pub.
  15. It would be great, but I think we just have to accept that some simply don't see it the same way as us. Even after applauding the pitch invaders trying to take a stand for our club, some will have trundled off to buy their halftime pint. Seems baffling to me, but there you go.
  16. The consequences might not be known yet, I'm afraid. If the club want to, they have the technology needed to identify fans and issue them with bans.
  17. Exactly. I can't quite believe we've got Wednesday fans saying the boycott's 'clearly not working' after six weeks. We could be locked in this battle for years...
  18. You don't hear this banger as much these days...
  19. I'm not sure the club will go for a plaque to commentate pitch invaders, to be honest...
  20. Our defence was our Achilles' heel last season, when we actually had a Championship-standard attack to relieve the pressure on them. Now that our attack has been shorn of any genuine quality, our defence are going to be sitting ducks for the better attacks at this level. It is what it is, I'm afraid.
  21. Yep. Which is why a boycott of all spending, no matter how trivial the individual amount may seem, is imperative. There's no point waving your scarves, chanting against him etc. if you're still handing him your cash.
  22. Is it just my poor memory, or did we not sing 'Hi Ho Sheffield Wednesday' back in the 90s? My only memory from that era (when I was a kid) is Tina Turner's 'Simply The Best' blaring out before kickoff.
  23. Why don't you agree with boycotting games, out of interest?
