    This is a very real long term issue as I have gone through this myself. Some that stop going won't come back, they'll find other hobies. I stopped going 4 or 5 years ago and have only been back once since, due to friends coming up from Plymouth. If we're not careful we'll lose a lot of young supporters too.

    Good luck to this lad, I hope he does well. What this situation has done though is prove to the efl that DC can't (or won't) fund the rest of the season. That is why they were playing hardball with him. More proof for them come regulator time (if its needed.)
