Lucky you - I’m sat by my letter box but nothing has appeared yet (mind you I do live in Stoke on Trent!!) -
Bolton- Wednesday (LC 1rnd)
HarpurOwl replied to Lord Snooty's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Another great matchday contribution from the Lord - keep this standard up and we can’t go wrong - good luck to the lads tonight - we’re right behind you!! -
As most of you know I’m a wheelchair season ticket holder who has a bay at the front of the North Stand - so far I haven’t received my new season ticket nor my disabled car park pass and no communication re where they are thinking of locating me (and all the other wheelchair supporters) for the forthcoming season - I have of course received a receipt for all the advanced monies I’ve paid but nothing in return!!

OTHER clubs that have helped SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY

We should be asking ourselves what support have we given to Morecambe - they are in front of us for ceasing to exist (but only just!!) -
North Stand Refund - your rights
HarpurOwl replied to swfc1867100's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
What is the position of wheelchair season ticket holders (like myself )currently placed in a wheelchair bay at the front of the North Stand - I have also paid for a reserved parking spot in the car park near the shop - if I’m relocated (say) to the front of the West Stand it would be impossible for me to get that far from where I park - what are my grounds for a refund of both season ticket plus car park fee -
SWFC to update fans on North Stand movement tomorrow

and what is being proposed for those of us who require accessible access and bays for our wheelchairs -
I’m writing this with tears in my eyes - a neighbour took me to Hillsborough 70 years ago to see us beat Grimsby 6 - 0 and I’ve been going ever since It’s been said many times that you don’t choose Wednesday - Wednesday chooses you and I for one is immensely proud that I was chosen - what is happening to our Club right now is completely unacceptable and it’s down to one man who will never understand what being a Wednesdayite is I read what some are saying that it’s the end of a Club that’s been in existence for 158 years - that absolutely cannot be allowed to happen and all of us have to do whatever is needed to save OUR CLUB

Andy Giddings - Players possibly refusing to play.
HarpurOwl replied to SallyCinnamon's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Well this could be the answer to boycotting games - players on strike - and when we turn up for the Stoke game there’s Bannan Palmer and the rest on the picket line - in all my 75 years I’ve never crossed a picket line and I never will - all strength to everyone still working at the Club - you have my total support -
Could I just remind everyone that most (all?) supporters with parking permits (me included) are disabled fans who if they couldn’t park within the ground would be unable to attend.

I’ve just given Mr Chansiri £130!
HarpurOwl replied to HarpurOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Hi All - many thanks for all your kind comments and your suggestion that you cover my expenditure - but there’s absolutely no need for any collection as I’m perfectly able to afford the cost - please donate any money to a collection for any of the support staff who may not have been paid by Chansiri- 24 replies

Firstly let me apologise - and clearly state I detest the cretin who is currently the guardian of our club - so why have I given this odious man £130 out of my pension. I am 76 and been going to Hillsborough for over 70 years and been a season ticket holder for over 50 years - like everyone else on this site Wednesday are in my blood and I can’t imagine a time when they may no longer exist. Since I lost the use of my legs I am now a wheelchair season ticket holder and renewed my place in the Earlybird window - however I am entirely dependent on being able to park in a disabled spot in the North Stand car park and have just received a letter from the Club telling me I have 4 weeks to renew my disabled pass at a cost of £130 or lose my place. Without the ability to park within the ground I would no longer be able to attend the games so regrettably have been forced to renew my pass without waiting for a new owner to appear. So with apologies to Mr Bannan I earnestly hope that my £130 goes towards the tea lady’s wages - it will certainly be the last time I spend any more of my money until the new regime is in place.

What One Word Sums Up Our Current Situation ?
HarpurOwl replied to Kopparberg's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
All of the above -
I don’t get all this delay palaver - when I want a paper I go into the shop - bang my quid on the counter and leave with my paper - why can’t this Wallmart guy go to Hillsborough- bang his £100m on the boardroom table and say to Chansiri ‘on your bike’!
-
What a brilliant programme and what a talented lad Harris is - and very intelligent and well spoken - that lad has a great future - said he was longing to make his first team debut for Wednesday - hope I get to see that!

Turn your back on Chansiri!
HarpurOwl replied to AwokenGiant's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I will be at the game today and fully support the protest to get Chansiri out - unfortunately due to the fact I’m in wheelchair and can’t physically stand up let alone turn round I’m not sure how I can join in!! - any suggestions for me (and all the other wheelchair fans in the front row of the North Stand ) will be most welcome -
Can this be considered before this post disappears onto page 2 - I’ve been going to Hillsborough for almost 70 years! - my memory isn’t so good these days but the highlights are still there! - I think the idea of a subsection for Wise Old Owls is excellent and I would certainly contribute on a regular basis

Disabled / Carer Tickets Renewal for 2025/26
HarpurOwl replied to S25OWL's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I have to strongly disagree with the previous post - I have had nothing but excellent dealings with the Clubs DLO - I am a wheelchair supporter and yes did have my Carer ticket checked for authenticity - all my emails to the DLO were responded to within days and once I had provided evidence of my disability benefit (by email) my carer entitlement was confirmed - I’m very happy with my dealings with the Club over this issue. -
Don’t forget - ‘We all live on a blue and white kop’ - and our friends are all aboard Jim Mcalliog and David Ford’! - might have to amend that last line!
-
I have been a Wheelchair Season ticket holder for a number of years and have always been granted a Carer ticket to enable someone (my son) to transport me to the ground and then support me while watching the match - a Carer for me is critical as I have no other way of getting to the match and need support during the game as I am in danger of falling and need constant supervision. This Carers ticket has so far been issued without charge to all supporters who have Wheelchair tickets but this has not been the case this year - This year I have had to renew my ticket at the going rate but now have to justify my need for a Carer and produce supporting paperwork - I fear this is a move by the Club to charge for a Carer ticket which will jeopardise many wheelchair supporters from attending. I am extremely unhappy with this new requirement and have written to the Disability Liaison Officer to see what is the rationale behind this move.

but on the overseas TV stream it does say 6pm because it’s been chosen for an overseas broadcast!!
-
Our fixtures on the SWFC website also say 3pm!
-
Panic not - according to the Coventry FC website it’s a 3pm kickoff!
