He's coming for you, he's coming for you David Logan,
Marpals replied to Prutton Away's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
But he could argue that is what he is trying to do now. -

All he has to do is show them that he is trying to run us on our income, and it takes time to get the wages bill down to a level that is within our income. I think some of our fans need to get their heads out of the clouds if they think this new regulator is a Knight in shining armour. It might roar loudly at first but on close inspection of their mouth they will find that the lion is completely toothless. -
I wouldn't worry to much about that. There is not a cat in hells chance United would allow us to share for 1 game let alone a season or longer.

No we didn't.

Shop watch - Shirt watch
Marpals replied to Warhurstsleftfoot's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Someone on the Blades forum has said they have a friend who collects parcels, and usually on they day the Shirt goes on sale they collect loads from the club shop, this time there was only 13. Could be testicles but dosent sound totally unbelievable.. -

What’s happening down the club megastore?
Marpals replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
More importantly where abouts are the Gnomes ? -
I guess the only way I can see that happening is Blackburn actually get the player, and they think they are getting a £5 million+ player for £2.5 million. If they wait for him to be a free agent they risk the chance of other clubs gazumping them.
-
It depends on the buying club i guess and if they have the money to pay more upfront. If Utd offered £2.5 million paid as a normal transfer would be, but Mansfield offered £2 million majority paid up front i guess we'd take the Mansfield offer.
-
I think United were hit with a 3 window transfer ban originally but negotiated it down to a 2 point deduction which couldn't be appealed. God knows what it means for us because we already have the 3 window ban.

Why is the Club (and hence the support) the victim?

When was Chansiri not 'fit and proper' Last year, 2022, 2019, ? He passed the initial test when he took over, and I don't remember one Wednesday fan complaining. What do you want the EFL to do, have these tests every year ? Chansiri needs to go but some of our fans are embarrassing themselves by continually asking the EFL to do something even suggesting they have a meeting to change the rules. You can't laugh and joke and have banners made when everything is going well but start crying when the wheels come off. They only people who can help Sheffield Wednesday are us the Fans by putting pressure on Chansiri to sell. -

Don't know where you have seen their fans are up in arms, the ones I have read seem ok with it just maybe could have got a bit more money for him. If only we had a player to sell for £15 million. -
A summary and what's to come?
Marpals replied to Fablon Dunlop's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I am going for a pretty quiet one after last week. Not much more bad news and maybe a bit of good news. By good news I mean maybe the announcement of a Pre season Friendly. -
New owners in time for new season.
Marpals replied to HopefulOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I've gone no, purely because of the time left until the start of the season. Just not enough time, especially if its a consortium. -
The amount of neglect is unbelievable
Marpals replied to Lowry's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Did you voice these concerns to the EFL when Chansiri took over ? Did you voice these concerns when we signed Rhodes for around £10 million ? Not sure what else the EFL could have done. -
Exactly this. Grown men bowing to him, taking selfies with him, and jumping up and down without actually knowing the slightest thing about him. It was embarrassing then, now its something that will haunt us for years even after he's gone.
-
It is not flawless as I pointed out on another thread, its against EFL rules for a potential buyer to advance money before a takeover is complete.
-
I never said it had. Again I was pointing it out to somebody who suggested that might happen.
-
I have no idea if he's selling or not. I was just pointing out that a potential buyer putting money in before any sale goes through is against EFL rules.
-
Isn't that against EFL rules ?

"Administration could be the best option"
Marpals replied to Pulcinella's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
One slight problem with that. United would have to agree to it, don’t think it being our original ground would carry any weight at all. Just cannot see United ever agreeing to it, just not worth the hassle for them. -

I would image it would be equally unpalatable for United Fans. So I think that would be a total non starter. -

I'm 58 and got it. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.
