Think Ugbo scores a bit harsh, he didn't put a foot wrong and played a key role in the 2nd. He invariably makes the right decision and you always have confidence he will get out of tight spot with the ball somehow. Also wins a lot of 40-60s, eg forcing the free kick by corner flag 1st half and drawing the booking 2nd. Can see with his technical qualities why managers want him creating too.

Bit like Bazball, you can't really do it half measures as it's about creating an overriding attitude. It will go wrong, especially against the best teams, but it has also made a struggling and limited set of players competitive. Better to win and lose a lot than to keep grinding out draws/narrow defeats.

The ref angle is the only one where you get an idea of how far he lunges forward, the others are more down the line so the foreshortening makes it looks less lungey. Don't really understand the 'looked bad in real time but looking back...' point, things happen in real time, including broken legs

Can't read too much into the quality, how often do you see good games in swirling winds on a pitch that was cutting up? Always end up with lots of overplayed/underplayed passes, sliced volleys and disjointed rhythm. Maybe they didn't adapt as well as they could, floaty balls for no reason were frustrating but can't fault them for how they competed.
