  1. They said on the radio the other day that because of the problems of high temperatures many of England's matchs may kick off after midnight UK time.
  2. Ex-Premier League owner John Textor holds talks over buying Championship club | talkSPORT https://share.google/bTiz79UU9a6xiyZ1s
  3. Found this on FB just now. I come in peace, as Coventry City fan. But not just as a fan, but I actually organised some of the protests, not against the last set of owners, but the set of crooks before them over twenty years ago. The thing is, and I’m not just saying this because I am coming up on Saturday, but going straight for the nuclear option of causing a match to be abandoned, that won’t cut it and it will lose you support in the wider football community. And going there, before the lower options of disruption means you’ve nowhere left to go, you can’t escalate. And thinking it’s a TV match, yeah, it’s not the main TV match. With the expansion of 12.30 kick-offs this season, literally the only people who will watching this are the fans of our two clubs, and maybe there will be people glancing at it in foreign bars that have twelve screens. You know your owner doesn’t give a poo, but you haven’t gone through the learning experience we did for two decades: the Football League doesn’t give a poo. I mean we were sort-of declared bankrupt twice, we ended up moving out of Coventry twice. The Football League did not give a poo about Coventry City not playing in the City of Coventry TWICE. That’s a level of perspective you may be missing here. You want to have a protest and disrupt the match, fair enough, but don’t feel that an abandonment will make any more impact to the Football League than a disruption would. In all the years we had protests, we NEVER ONCE caused a match to be abandoned If your goal is for the Football League to notice, then go to their London offices, I would say when you play Charlton, but more likely Millwall, as that’s a midweek, so for those of you who can take the time off, that’s what I’d be doing. You should also really have been asking us to go with the black and gold thing. That was out away kit last season. I’m sure we’d have gone for that if you’d asked. But you seem not to have thought of us as other football fans who have had problems and might sympathise. That is disappointing, For example, many years ago we worked together with the plastic pigs at The Valley. You should have done that, at least treat the fans of a club which has gone through the grinder with the respect that should deserve. We did that with Charlton Athletic. You should have done that with us. Hope you get your terrible owner to sell, but his ownership is not our fault! Please don't punish us for that. Years ago we held pitch invasions during a live TV game (which was THE TV game at the time), and the moment that second invasion ended, the Blades scored and we lost.....
  4. I get the feeling that at some point the authorities will try to make an example of him and throw the book at him
  5. I was thinking the same . The media and other clubs and their fans seem to be giving us support for what's happening to the club. I think the turning point has been the fact that the staff have not been paid and for a lot of people its a game changer. I read that there's rumours doing the rounds that some staff have had to take out loans to pay bills
  6. Simon Jordan talking today seems to think that the regulator would take the same action as was taken against Readings owner and force Chansiri to sell
  7. Couple of injuries and suspensions and we'll have to kick off midweek matches at 5 o'clock because its a school night for some of the squad
  8. According to the radio this morning Wilder was frustrated because it was too big a game for the referee
  9. Can't see what all the fuss is about he apologised to the fan and probably promised him a case of Peroni after the match. Or looking at it another way hes a first class jeb end
  10. We could probably win every game 5 nil but when the EFL eventually apply our points deductions we'll be lucky if we end up in Div 2
  11. Hopefully Chansiri will be gone by the start of next season and it won't be a problem.
  12. If you read my post properly I said I had cancelled my auto renewal but they still took it. Past experiences were that it would be difficult to get a refund so.i didn't bother.
  13. Sadly I think youre right about him not giving a throw. Its time for the EFL to apply pressure. Its obvious that he can no longer financially run the club.
  14. I went to Hillsborough for 20 years and never felt the need to buy food or a drink in all that time.
  15. Maybe I should've tried then. Too late now. A few seasons ago the service was awful. I remember first game of the season it would not let me sign in because my password was wrong, it wasnt. I asked to renew my password with a link. It eventually arrived 85 minutes into the game. I complained and they said it was my fault for not clearing my cache on my computer.
  16. Im sure that as was the case with Allen some of our fans think he's doing a good job under difficult circumstances.
  17. I'll post in support of people using ifollow at the end of last season i cancelled my.automstic renewal of ifollow. About a week before this season started I got an email.to say they'd taken payment for this season. I thought about asking them.to cancel.and return the money but having tried to get money back.from when I couldn't log in its a lost cause.
  18. I worked in the NHS in Lincolnshire for nany years. I was talking to one of the Charge nurses who was from Sheffield about the noise. He said sorry if it kept you awake. That was my first job when I left school.
  19. The unpaid staff should get together and take him to.the small claims court for their wages
  20. Part of my childhood living in Pitsmoor were the sound of the speedway on Thursday nights The smell of the beer brewing at night The thump thump of the drop forges at night.
  21. I know but Surely its time for the EFL to have a meeting with Chansiri and say to him Sorry mr Chansiri but its now obvious that you do not have the funds to adequately run Sheffield Wednesday football club until the end of the season if not sooner. This means we have no choice but to remove your fit and proper status. Either find a buyer for the club or we will enter negotiations on your behalf for the sale of the club
  22. If SWFC were a company the administrators and bailiffs would have been in weeks ago. If the EFL need enough evidence to show he can't fund the club they must have enough now.
  23. Is its that and he and the other players are thinking enoughs enough and as captain hes the spokesman for everyone at the club. Im sure Chansiri wont be happy about it if he gets to hear about it what's he going to do? Sack Bannan? That would be the end for Chansiri
  24. Listening to Bannan on Talksport this morning it sounds like its very difficult to contact Chansiri and he doesn't really get in contact much himself.
  25. Said there's no direct link to Chansiri other than asking his secretary to contact him to contact them which he said isn't fair on the secretary
