Only option now is players refusing to play
WorrallOwl17 replied to SheffWed's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Just frustrating we can’t do a reading style pitch invasion. Thousands on the pitch and stopping the game completely. Less than 1% on today, probably less than 1/2% actually. These aren’t even invasions are they. The Twitter account had hundreds of followers and hundreds retweeting, guessing they weren’t bothered about it in person. -
Pitch Invasion - how many!?
WorrallOwl17 replied to Kevowls1's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Went to the match, the invasion was an embarrassment. Fair ******** play to the 30 or so who went on, they’ve got bigger balls than me and everyone on here. Unfortunately there’s a few camps pre pitch invasion. The camp where you’re going on regardless, not bothered about how many follow. Which were the legends who went on today. The camp I was in, where I’d have gone on given bigger numbers. Beforehand you’re unaware of any potential consequences but what is for sure is the consequences are a damn sight less if there’s more of you. I wasn’t willing to risk it to be part of 30 people, and I think a large portion of the crowd today were in the same boat. The worst camp, are the Twitter warriors giving it the big one before and after, but not doing anything. I saw a few tweets during the game about how pathetic it was and how we deserve what we get etc etc but didn’t go on themselves. One Mr Oldfield tweeting away during the game complaining about the numbers on the pitch, while he’s sat at the back of the north stand. -
Amorin must ******** hate the young lad to send him here. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Good luck to him, he’ll need it

If we can’t organise some sort of pitch invasion at least once we deserve all we get. Let’s be real, Blackpool and Reading managed it with half the home support as us. What do they get? 10k? Reading maybe a little more? We get over 20k realistically and can’t muster up anything. We have the numbers on our side, any other teams that have protested on the pitch would have loved to have the numbers we have, yet they still did it. Don’t get what our excuses are anymore?

Surely there’s more of the big boys who want to loan out some youngsters and not worry about wages. Pedersen should be onto his danish pal at spurs to see if there’s anyone going spare

How can a club in this league survive with this transfer policy really? Sell up and go DC ffs. Teams like Derby signing 12 players, paying pretty hefty fees, Wrexham trying to sign all the best players from rival teams. Most teams are spending a fortune and seriously stocking up their squads and we’re dealing with teenage loans and at a push old men who want one last club. How can we survive like this

Fair ******** play to him, his mental strength must be immense. To go from throwing one in 3 days ago to making save after save tonight knowing he was against premiership opposition, fair play. Got Saturday out the way and really put a shift in tonight

This isn't about Dejphon Chansiri
WorrallOwl17 replied to YesWeCrann's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Some football club us. Best about -
Would cooper and mee really sign here after this summers farce? Surely not. Both good professionals who have been in the premiership or top end champ for most of their careers? Why would they come to this basket case of a club, I’m sure they won’t be short of offers either. I know neither have a club but I’m sure that’s their own choice instead of lack of interest in them. I’d be very impressed if we managed to get just one of them, never mind both

Any team ran properly letting Smith, Gassama, Musuba, Windass, Lowe, leave would have pulled minimum £12million in for them, in my opinion. Add Röhl into that too, you could be pushing 15. For once we’ve actually had some assets worth some money and it’s criminal watching them all leave for nothing, or next to nothing, just to cut the wage bill. Such a sorry state. 8 months ago we were 2 players short of mounting a play off push in the transfer window. Now look. It’s genuinely hard to believe this has happened

Danny Röhl is returning to SWFC
WorrallOwl17 replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Wonder what knock on effect this has for the potential outgoings. Were they all in the same boat as Röhl and waiting on a takeover to decide their future? Interesting to see how it plays out with Gassama, Windass and co. They might have a change of heart now -
Best thing to happen to this club since I started watching in 98. Give it a rest.

Looks like Pedersen is the man
WorrallOwl17 replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
This club really is bonkers isn’t it? Two ways to look at it. Pedersen is seeing this as his opportunity to step up as the main man when everyone else around him are dropping like flies. Or more unrealistically but what I’d prefer is something behind the scenes is improving and this could be an important move in keeping Röhl too? Is a takeover close and Pedersen has seen the long term with Röhl. Who knows -
Don’t blame any of them. Id be off if I was them, it’s a ******** disgrace. Good luck to any of the lads who decide to leave and play elsewhere, no one blames you

STATEMENT FROM DEJPHON CHANSIRI
WorrallOwl17 replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Me me me. Woe is me. Feel sorry for me. I did this. I did that. I’m doing my best. Get to fizz -
fizz me how depressing is this really? That the local journos have to report on who’s actually turned up for the first day back. We’re all on tenterhooks about who has actually rocked up to train. What a complete shambles and embarrassment. Ps, has anyone been confirmed as number 6 yet?

Danny Röhl - will he or won’t he
WorrallOwl17 replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Chansiri finally losing the only person holding the club together, bravo. Breath of fresh air the last two years was Danny, they’ll be no digs from me and no slights on his name here. He deserved way better than working under this clown and he’ll go a long way I’m sure, the sky is the limit for him. He performed miracles with this group on less than a shoestring and deserves credit from us, he’s been the most liked manager here in a long long time. Good luck to him if he does eventually leave -
Windass out and about on a podcast
WorrallOwl17 replied to SallyCinnamon's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Podcasts like that go for personalities like Windass. How boring would a podcast be if they didn’t tell stories and give honest insight into players and clubs? I like how he comes across to be honest. Straight talking and none of the robotic media trained poo . He didn’t get offered a contract, so maybe Windass isn’t far off anyway. Got to take criticism if he’s going to make a career of it -
Livestream the meeting with Chansiri
WorrallOwl17 replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
This will be an absolute ******** disaster of a meeting. If possible, it’ll make us hate him even more. Absolutely dreading this -
Turn your back on Chansiri!
WorrallOwl17 replied to AwokenGiant's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
For anyone on here who went to the match today and didn’t turn round, what’s your reasoning for it? Just intrigued as to why people couldn’t give 60 seconds to turn around and turn their back on the pitch? I stand on the north towards the away fans, was a good reaction up there. One young lad goes with his dad and turned round, only for his dad to basically pull him back round to the race pitch and told him to not do it. Cant get my head around it, 60 whole seconds to make a stand against a lunatic running the club into the ground. What else will it take really? -
Why can’t we defend properly?
WorrallOwl17 replied to SheffWed's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
January transfer window. Simple as that. Lost Iorfa, Famewo, Bernard and never replaced. Ihiekwe was surplus to requirements the first part of the season then becomes a mainstay because of lack of bodies. Playing full backs at centre back, academy lads at centre back. Never thought I’d say it but we’d be doing better this season if we kept Diaby. Prone to an error of course but just for this season with how it’s panned out, he’d have played 35+ games for us this season. -
Fair play to him when he goes. A good club, plenty of money, lovely ground, presuming a good training facility, a great team for the championship. Who could possibly begrudge him of that? He’s given us a cracking year and a half so when he goes, it’ll be a thank you from me
