  1. Winston had put in a fortnight's notice and doesn't want his move to Stocport putting in jeopardy
  2. It was only the other day on twitter I saw people messaging Crann saying they didn't believe the Statement that the players had put out and refuting the fact the players hadn't been paid. Make no bones about it. The dunderheaded still walk among us.
  3. Have to say, on this I do agree with that Unitedite, there's definitely been more of a nasty undercurrent since he's been in charge stoking the fires.
  4. Seen more than a few posts from United fans calling him ola hypocrite for mentioning the stats and the XG when he said recently “you can stick your data”. He's got 90 odd points this season and overall , you have to say it's been a good one for them , but it's fair to say it's his actions and outbursts that is making many United fans want him gone. Frankly, he shows himself. And therfore them, up. His sour attitude , mardy outbursts and chip mentality is wearing thin with their right minded support and many have had enough of it. I've even seen many of them giving the Radio Sheffield lads some hammer for "always taking it easy on him, unlike all the other local managers who get a grilling" Usually something you claim about other teams managers, not your own.
  5. I've done something today that I've never done before and gone to have a look at a United message board. There's some strong feeling against Wilder, and not just about his approach to the game, but about the fact how his behaviour has made them widely disliked. One commenting on Barry Bannans video says that that sort of thing has been entirely brought about because of Wilders previous antics and that other teams up and down the country revelling in their defeat is down to "the seeds that Chris has sewn". That the vitriol between Wednesday and United had spiked in recent year to have a nastier side to it than it has done for many years and that much of that is down to him and his playing up to the hooligan element. When you're greatest rivals say your manager is a classless narcissist that's one thing...when your own support starts saying it , you're dead man walking. Many are disgusted too that he threw his players under the bus and admitted to having no spoken to any of them yet...and hour and a half after the game.
  6. Many huffed off down the tunnel and missed the presentation. Which annoyed many of the blunts support who'd stayed in thr stadium.
  7. Wait, did he just say Tom Cannon cost more than the entire Sunderland first eleven?!
  8. They haven't been out of second gear, and they haven't needed to.
  9. Has Cooper had an actual save to make
  10. Not enough craftiness around the box. Short of ideas. Only hope a set peice. Someone running at them and getting something in a shooting position around edge or box. Can't see it in open play.
  11. Then perhaps that's how Windass should have phrased the question. "Joey, which players don't run 10k a game in their peak years between 23 and 29."
  12. Bizarrely, only a month or two ago social media was awash with comment about Messi's running stats. Ot lack thereof. "That's his genius. He doesn't move. All these idiots charging about" You could barely turn on social media without seeing some clip of him walking around. What a great example of intelligence to a young player to preserve energy for when needed. Then Puthi, a young boy who's grown up in the world of 24/7 social media and has no doubt seen all that talk mentions it when an older player asks him about players who don't run. Of course the greatest irony in all of this is that it's less than a month ago that Windass churlishy commented that Wednesday fans didn't appreciate him and that he'd get more kudos if he was one of those players who... just run around a lot.
  13. Someone one who has a (so far) non public agreement with their workplace that the situation has become untenable and both need to move on.
  14. I remember writing this OMDT. Being very short on time, I could only come up with a weak joke about all the roundabouts in Milton Keynes. Little realising that that 4 years later some marketing yobbo would actually run with it.
  15. I rate Miller. Think he's the best the Wednesday journos. Has that -these days rare gift- of writing his facts , but also managing to capture the mood. When not against the tearing clock of breaking social media he's got a bit of the Brian Glanvilles about him. Could definitely see him doing the opinion column when the time comes.
  16. If the opt out requires a written note instead of a cross in a box you'll be absolutely laughing.
