Thinking of similarities to the situation of Torres' move from Liverpool to Chelsea.
OK , so May is not in the same class but he is in a similar situation.
Is it because;
A) he's not that good after all?
B) Scottish football falsely inflated his ability?
C) he is not playing to his strengths?
D) Gray's tactics don't benefit Mays natural game?
E) our midfield can't read his movement?
F) fan expectation is far far too high?
Either way he has been put on a pedestal, and really is in such an invidious position for a forward who has had so much pressure to perform placed upon him.
Btw, my opinion is: I think it is all of the above. A to F.
