Thank you to all of you for the very kind comments. Simon was my daughters partner, my future Son-in Law with their wedding all planned and set for August next year. This is always an important family time of the year for us as Simons son, my grandsons birthday is on Christmas Eve, my wife's birthday is 27th December, next week is going to be difficult to get through. Had a difficult day today as we've had to go to the Medico Legal Center where my daughter, Carleen, and Simon's mum Christine formally identified the body which allowed the police to carry on with this evenings press releases.

For years Simon has followed our beloved team home and away and when he entered our lives he introduced me to the joys of travelling to away games on the train and wetherspoons 1400 calorie breakfasts, in fair exchange I introduced him to Guinness.  This is his third season as a season ticket holder in the North Stand, for many years before that he was on the Kop.

Our family has been devastated by what happened on Monday night, all Simon was doing was coming home from work. Got off the bus and started his usual walk home across the school fields, evil has then stepped in, smashed in the back of his head and took his life.

He had been planning to finish work at half 6 tonight and I was going to meet him at the ground, can't face tonight's match without him. My daughter has been saying she would like to walk in his footsteps when he went to a match, so we may be in the usual pre match 'haunts' of the Rawson Springs and Shakey on Saturday if we feel a little stronger by then. May see some of you there.

Thanks again for the kind words, they really do mean a lot to the family.
