  1. I'm open minded on the stadium, but considering reports suggest, only 1 (or 2) out of 11 (potential) bidders have engaged with the council on this subject, possibly suggests most would remain at Hillsborough. Notwithstanding, it would be a longer term project anyway. For me, the training ground needs more urgent action to relocate.
  2. Communication has been superb from the Administrators, since day 1. They've done the basics of running a business very well. They've also maintained the profile of the club, advertising it exceptionally well and put much more effort into this aspect than I expected. I'm very optimistic they will find a deal with good owners, going forward.
  3. Fantastic package. It's not difficult this running a fotbal club is it, just needs common sense.
  4. I've long advocated for this. Subscription based services are the norm and season tickets, seems rather analogue by comparison. People's sensitivity to cost varies. From my point of view, because I live a 3hr drive away, and can't attend every home game. Cost isn't the main impediment I'd be happy to pay the full season ticket price for a hybrid ticket. For, say £50-80 per month, If I could watch streamed content, games from the club, with the option to attend an agreed amount of games as and when, by selecting a seat in advance (subject to availability). I'd see that as value for money.
  5. Good news and sounds like they are keen to send more youth players our way. An useful relationship to have, with a top club. Let's hope they remember us next season when we are in L1
  6. By modest, I'm talking in relation to a billionaires wealth, or what an EPL club would spend, for example. Lots do do, but doesn't all have to be done at once and I suspect the total investment would be less that an EPL clubs value, should we be lucky enough to be promoted in the next 5 years. For arguments sake (I'm not suggesting this is what's needed or will be spent), but the reported £150m the ex owner wasted, would go an awful long way in the hands of a competent owner, with a plan
  7. Good interview. He's right in what he's saying about the club being scalable, one of the few at this level and particularly in our current price range. No wonder there has been significant interest. There is some work to be done, modest money to be spent, but we are a blank canvas and the upside of us being an established EPL club, in the future, is that we could be sustainable again at that level, which leads to a valuation, easily £300-£500m. It was also interesting to hear about squad rules and perhaps speaks to why more subs haven't been made. If playing time counts towards squad numbers and we are seeking to add free agents. Hopefully, we received positive news on adding to the squad and the bids start arriving in due course.
  8. Some may leave, but I also think a fair few will see the opportunity of new ownership, depending who it is, as something they want to be involved with. I don't begrudge anyone leaving, they've played their part this season when we needed them, but don't think it's certain there will be a mass exodus.
  9. I'm optimistic about next season, if we can overturn or suspend the fee restriction sanction. There is no ongoing merit to this and any new owner would have a legitimate argument that administration supercedes this punishment. Also, able to hold as a bargaining chip to conclude a sale, if indeed all interested parties identified this as a restraint of trade issue, as they should. On a level playing field, without punitive sanctions, think we would have a successful season.
  10. This is great news, the employees have felt it more than most. Top marks to the administrators for providing clarity, also early Christmas payments, well done.
  11. Fair to judge him over the course of a season, but from what I've seen he's looked decent at wing back. Much more improvement in his game to go, which is to be expected, but I think he and Amass doing a good job. Fusire has started to get forward with more intent, which will be an important element of his development. Both young lads on either side of the pitch deserve their places in the team (like we have any choice anyway). Interested to see how they do over the rest of the season.
  12. Nothing particularly new in yesterday's discussion, probably aired because they know the topic generates engagement. I'm sure every potential buyer goes in with their eyes open, having done due diligence on the funding necessary. The more pertinent point is the inclusion of owners debt in the 25% rule. If ever there was an argument to change that by interpretation, it is now after this fiasco.. I doubt the EFL will do so, because they are beholdent to other owners, who decide on the rules.
  13. The administrators have an obligation to seek the best deal for the creditors. In simple terms highest bidder wins. That said, they also have an obligation to ensure the new owners would make the business viable. I suspect, in the spirit of this obligation, there is a small amount of latitude to assess potential buyers future plans in their decision making. One thing is for sure, it's a hell of a lot better than the ex owner choosing a buyer.
  14. Depends whether new owners see us as a short term or long term project. That said, a swift promotion and the TV income boost that comes with it, outweighs any money saved in the initial purchase. My overriding feeling is that the right buyer, wouldn't be quibbling over a few million. Reasonable to ask questions regarding the validity of the ex owners claim, but sure the right owner would want to give the club the best opportunity of promotion and avoid any more sanctions.
  15. Wouldn't the the first (or last) foreign investors to think that parachute payments and chucking a few million at the team would guarantee promotion. I'm sure some of their investors may well be concerned and looking for an exit. That could have significant ramifications for any future investment when parachute money runs out, depending if they've borrowed against it again.
