  1. Thanks for pointing this out, I’m in Maderia and will be going to two Maritimo games
  2. We are abroad and using a double VPN to make it work
  3. No its not - according to this https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11588417/boxing-day-football-on-sky-sports
  4. Time to bring back the old song “Rohl along Sheffiekd Wednesday, Rohl along….”
  5. Just printed off 3 tickets, they don’t have a bar code, they have QR codes according to everything I’ve read about the turnstile readers, they read bar codes and not QR codes. anyone else printed print at home tickets with barcodes on?
  6. My understanding is, it’s the same card unless your category has changed.
  7. At least 4 owls at EDinburgh airport
  8. We booked at week in Loch Rannoch in the Highlands and travelled down Friday, (as son at EDinburgh university, his last exam was the day before the second leg and he already had a train ticket home straight after, when they changed the second leg from Sat to Thursday it was the only night we could both go (travelling to Motherwell on the Friday) after our week at Loch Rannoch we have two days in EDinburgh as son is doing the EDinburgh marathon on the Sunday, we went to the match Thursday thinking it would have been difficult to get to Wembley back home after the match Thursday we booked flights from EDinburgh to London before going to bed, got to get up at 4-30 for the flight (bargain £82 for both of us) My son has refused to let me make any excuses about not going (though he doesn’t pay for anything) he is 18 and Thursday was the best day of his life, had to make a Wembley happen
  9. Managed to watch all first half on the EFL app on an iPad
  10. The capital is a fabulous place to visit, the firing of the canons is a. Must, the views are incredible, we visited the nearby war museum, Which is nearby the firing of the canons (but it may not be your good lady’s thing), or visit Medina which is really worth a visit, especially if your a fan of Game of Thrones., or a great place for lunch is St Julian’s bay. The aquarium at St Paul’s bay is very good and there is a really nice place to eat there. If you like old cars, there is museum at St Paul’s bay.
  11. They do do food but not sure if all the time, they have a range of beers, including Bombardier (which was nice) they have lots of screens inside, and one will be used for the owls match, the others are for other matches, unless Steve puts it on, on one of the screens outside (under cover) which he did when we were there. The pub was not rammed when we went to watch a game on a sat. However other supporters use the bar to watch matches ie They have lots of Bradford City fans, so it will depend on what other matches are on at the same time. steve never knows how many Owls will turn up, once for a pre season friendly he had over 20, the first league match hardly anyone. have you joined Malta Owls face book page? If not join and post a message to Steve, before you go, and introduce yourself and tell him what match you will be going for, and he can advise on food offerings.
  12. If you download the Tallinja ap (which is really good) you can type in where you are and where you are going, it shows the times of buses, how long it takes and how much walking both ends, buses are cheap, if there is a bus starting with an X, they cost a little more but are quicker as they don’t call at every stop. Buses in Malta can be rammed, they don’t seem to have a maximum and it you are stuck where the doors open and shut it’s not much fun but good exercise trying not to get squashed. You can download the app and try it. My little check suggests it’s 24 minutes but traffic in Malta can be really bad. Hope that helps.
  13. Let’s hope the match officials are up to the job,, still struggling to get over the dimwit officials from the Plymouth game
  14. Damian Emiliano Martinez, on condition he brings with him a signed Messi Shirt from the World Cup final Big Ron, as the man in charge for my greatest ever day supporting the Owls and would be so entertaining Barry Bannan, so I get the low down on the current.issues behind the scene, and make recommendations to him on where the team needs strengthening in the January transfer window (we know he has the ear of Darren) ,
  15. Thanks for this merging of threads, I must have missed this whole thread when it came out (sorry) now extra looking forward to our Malta trip and the Shrewsbury match .
