    Really appreciate you getting this thought going. I like the idea of doing something permanent for both players, but after seeing the Ronaldo statue, I think perhaps naming a stand or something like that would be better.

    For those recommending another year on his contract (which I'm in favour of), the question is whether he would be happy continuing the super sub role. I suspect he wants more game time. But then again, as he ages, it also might help to keep him fit.

    Please can someone give me some unbiased insight into what was actually said, not the spin from groups, fans and the media who all seem to have a bias.

    I'd love to hear from fans that were actually there about how much confusion and misunderstanding could be down to language barrier. I don't have a view on it, but I always feel it's important to try and understand both sides of the story, even if I don't understand it.
