Sickening to read these words of tribute to a player who left the club in disgrace.

Players told they won't be paid on time AGAIN
mcmigo replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
This is good news and hastens his exit. It shows that starving the club of cash is working - we can’t afford to pay what is now a very cheap squad. i am personally not in the ‘ disgusted’ camp on this. It is an inevitable and welcome consequence of the current boycott of the club. The chairman has taken our custom for granted- charging insane prices to watch a cheap squad play in a crumbling stadium and treating the fans like dirt. Sadly for him he drastically over estimated his ability to keep us coming and paying and is now paying the price. the players should now down tools and will do so with the full support of the fans- 192 replies

Wants to forget the 8 years he cheated whilst here and rightly so.

Not a big issue for DC at all given best we could sign for next 3 months are random unfit freebies. DC wil simply suck this one up and crack on. worst case he will just appeal and like an old dog down on its luck the EFL will roll over, have their tummy tickled and reduce any implications of this.

Why not ask one of the heroic season ticket holders to go in as usual ( like all home and away games ) and film it for you. Just make sure they turn the sound off when they are screaming ‘ scabs’ at the pay at the gate fans attending their first and only match of the season.

Supporters' Trust - Boycott Stance
mcmigo replied to SWFC Trust's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Earlier on in the boycott I was wound up that season ticket holders were watching us home and away whilst PAYG fans were scabs for daring to watch a cup game against Leeds. That was not a sustainable position. now, season ticket holders and fans going away to me are absolute heroes for actually spending any time at all watching an underpaid , underpowered squad who can’t afford sock tape or a travel lodge being battered every week. it’s fifty shades of grey stuff, almost a kinky desire to see compete footballing collapse live every week. -
Trust to issue a report on DC business interests !

Post the trust update and then lock the thread. Too much history on this website to risk anything. If people want to speculate and debate I would say simply don’t or do it somewhere else and be prepared for the consequences . -
I can’t see any sane human being think - you know what, now is the time to go and buy a Sheffield Wednesday season ticket for the first time . No one is going to take anyone’s seats

The Leg Muscles Of Chris O'Grady

Loved COG. one of the most mild mannered and quiet characters you will ever meet off the pitch . Not like a typical footballer at all, wouldn’t say boo to a goose but gave it everything on the pitch. -
Near the end of the pleat era we had Bruce on the bench and clough in the team. i remember one game at home v derby when Bruce was on the bench . We went 2-1 up - Di Canio scored - and then paolo wanchope absolutely destroyed us. In the end blondeau just gave up and was sent off . Only other time I have seen a defender give up was Fox v Wolves. Des walker and blondeau were like schoolboys that night against wanchope .

We spent 10 million on a player who was worse than Nuhiu in all respects.

Confess your unpopular opinions regarding SWFC

Our best post 2000 relegation footballer is Glenn Loovens. his performance in the second leg of the play off game remains the best performance I have seen from anyone in a Wednesday shirt. -
Wilko comes out terribly in that but he was easily manipulated by those advisers I suspect .

My son once hacked into my Amazon account and orders himself a load of football and baseball cards. On questioning he said his hand accidentally slipped and ordered them whilst innocently browsing on Amazon…. might be a few slippy keyboards and accidental renewals when push comes to shove. Plenty have renewed every season despite relegation, points deductions, um bongos, off field chaos for last 7 years.

Now the transfer window is finished we will settle down and start beating teams. If anything I am more worried about Wembley hotel availability in may . -

We will heroically stay up this season - I still believe it. It will be one of the greatest seasons ever on the pitch. -

There is nothing more depressing than the ‘ a night with’ events featuring 90’s legends. Endless stupid tales of players getting drunk in the good old days. Had that squad been more professional and not smoked/ drank so much we could have won the league in the early 90’s and changed the future of our club. They should use these events to apologise to supporters; not celebrate their lack of professionalism whilst idiot fans clap and cheer their inane tales about their ‘ antics’. -
Assume being sold but doesn’t know if loan back allowed.

The EFL as ever roll over after having their tummies tickled. commence spendageddon ! IN Raziak Ben Marshall Steve Howard Keiren ‘ westy ‘ Westwood the disgraced Steven Fletcher 6 trafficked ‘ Portuguese’ teenagers with one name only. OUT cadz charles lowe lowe

They will be moving to clubs that are going to be much more stable and better chance of sustaining championship football than here. Why would they stay ?

An unwelcome opinion I know but if we can get good money for Charles ( 5m plus) we should sell. Keepers are easy to get in on loan or sign cheaply - we signed our best keepers of recent years - Grant, Westwood etc- for peanuts. i know we all want this not to happen so our beloved chairman can’t carry on trading , but if you take a step back our lack of player trading at the right time has been one of our biggest issues .
