I would happily listen to Tony Adams but some of these guys, including some of our ex players, I find absolutely painful to see on these circuits. You have people who have had fantastic careers talking about dressing room fights, getting drunk, stupid stuff as weirdly that is what the audience wants to hear. i can’t understand it at all. Virtually all of the audience has been drunk or been in a fight with mates at some point so it isn’t especially interesting to hear someone talk about. It. Strikers miss chances - all part of the game. Can’t be too critical of that. Having said that , what I would do to have Patto and Windass back in this team up front. We aren’t a bad side overall but miss that extra bit of bite , know how and quality up at the top of the pitch.

It cannot have been true. His flaws were completely obvious and glaring from the first 10 mins of his debut. His stride was too long, he couldn’t shift his weight to create power in the air or tackling, his timing on tackling and pushing up / back were all a total car crash. There is no way he was scouted- not possible. Lots of questions about that deal.

100 percent. somewhere on the match day thread for that debut is my horror at watching van aken. I have never seen anything like it, his footwork and the way he was moving his body, his timing of tackling and moving up : back etc were absolutely amateur standard. I maintain he wasn’t scouted as I , who am not a scout, saw all of that within 10 minutes . That signing remains for me the turning point for Carlos and possibly DC himself. There should have been an investigation into it.

A terrible , terrible man and an absolutely dreadful owner in all respects. The book will be written one day and I maintain it will be the most explosive football book ever written. The times hinted at some of the antics on blockchain, unrefined African gold, river flow reversal but there will be many , many more things eventually come out. I was told that from the first wage payment issues under Monk until this month we had met payroll deadline for players in less than a quarter of those months. And of course some players went months with no pay at all. Players want this to be sorted or to be able to legally get out to a club where they get paid. Only way to do that is for us all to stay away and starve the owner of casH. These players have been amazing for years working at this shambles of a club. Now time to support them and stay away.

Has every right to play half heartedly . Clubs basic responsibility to him is to pay him and pay him on time. His is to try his best in training and games and follow the managers instructions. I have no issues with the kid taking it easy in these circumstances.
