  1. Just like to say well done to those who invaded the pitch today to highlight our plight and further raise the profile of the protest against our odious owner. Disappointed with Skys coverage during the protest. Hopefully the punishment metered out by the club towards the individuals is not too severe and common sense prevails. Unfortunately, with the man child in charge, I can see long bans ensuing for genuine protesting. I just hope that when that cretin finally sells up, the new owners revoke any bans issued and welcome back any supporters banned for standing up to the regime we are currently under.
  2. 30 + holidays plus taken around the world during work projects. Really impressed with the quality.
  3. Mine has been to a good few places over the years. Still in great condition considering it’s over 12 years old.
  4. One of our stand out players this century. Big game player with good ability and attitude. Not his fault we are owned by a complete moron who couldn’t pay what he was legally entitled to. Good luck Josh, you are well shut of the S6 circus.
  5. Weaver looks a real prospect. Seems to have that air of authority about him which for someone so young is amazing. i really think he has the potential to go to the very top if he continues his progression and listens to the coaching staff. We may have unearthed a real diamond.
  6. Really don’t understand the issue here. The player went down with a muscle injury to his leg, so what? The game is gone if the referee blows up for that. It would open doors for every defender caught out to go down feigning injury to get the game stopped. Not even worthy of discussion, and to be clear, if it was one of our players I would still be of the same opinion. Too many stoppages for my liking as it is.
  7. As I tell my grandsons, play to the whistle. No contact with the player, he was absolutely right to continue playing on. Not his, or SWFC’s , problem that he was injured. Game is way too soft these days.
  8. Wayne County and the electric chairs - F**k off.
  9. It’s a bizarre situation. HP has an opportunity to manage a championship club, albeit in a no win situation, and is trying his best with the cards he is dealt. He can’t say what he probably truly thinks about the clown running the club. Will he get a better opportunity in the U.K.? I don’t think so. It's a no win situation for him.
  10. Should be a SPS’s win. 2 levels higher in the pyramid. Great publicity for Wombwell though, a big part of the local community with a great facility to develop young kids.
  11. Wombwell Town featured on BBC news. Playing Stocksbridge Park Steels in the FA cup today. Well done and good luck to them for getting this far.
  12. Or as Fred Trueman would have said “ I’ll sithi Sydie “
  13. From the kop to the Shoreham? Same place innit?
  14. Just to be clear. No one knows if they were his signings or not. My opinion is did any of the permanent signings made during his tenure improve the team?, I’m not sure if they did. Did he and his coaching staff improve existing players? Yes. But, when the best player last season was a loan player. For me the jury is out on regarding signings. I get the market we are dealing in due to the circumstances caused by the owner. But ,for me , none of the permanent signings improved the team. I hope he goes on to have a stellar career, time will tell. Having a poor home record is 100% down to the manager and the system he plays. Last season’s home form was not acceptable and the blame lies with the manager and the tactics he dictated.
  15. No one knows what happened during the January transfer window regarding signings, and know one knows how much input DR had on the signings made during his tenure. All I know is that our home form was not anywhere near good enough for a team challenging for a top six position My point is, yes he was a good coach but did any of the signings made during his tenure improve the squad? I understand that the clown running the club has made his position untenable but was he the messiah? I’m not sure that he was. Would I want to see him at the helm for next season? Yes I would to see how we went again. Is he as good as he thinks he is? I’m not sure.
