  1. Talksport is inspiring. If Jamie O’Hara can get paid actual money to be a football pundit. Then you can do anything or be anyone you want to be.
  2. Agree with this, I’ll also add because the financial stakes are so high, plus the vitriol on social media and constant manager sackings, everyone, players, managers, refs, are scared to death of making a mistake. So it’s always a safety first approach to games, this is why we’ve had the inclusion of var, this is why when teams get in front they’re constantly trying to invent ways of running the clock down.
  3. Love a young un barking orders out, this kid along with Grainger and KCC (until he was sold) have been earmarked as our best talents for quite some time, so it’s nice to see him getting the recognition he deserves
  4. Even that though, you don’t realise the size of the place until you see it like that, huge potential for redevelopment
  5. Hillsborough isn’t 14 acres mate, a full size pitch is just under 2
  6. Could possibly look into buying/leasing the niagara sports fields and the niagara forge, the latter is available for lease, not sure who owns the niagara pitches but if we agreed to develop it with top facilities/pitches etc I’m sure an agreement could be met. Build a couple of bridges across the don and voila, you’ve got a massive training facility
  7. So nobody can discuss anything at all ever except Chansiri, until Chansiri has left the building?
  8. Thought he was the best player in the first half, linked up nicely with Svante on a couple of occasions, heavily involved in our only chance of the game, gets up and down well, wants to get involved. I like him
  9. Would be nice, but wouldn’t get much change out of £20m, be much better to invest that money into a proper recruitment structure and a network of high level coaches so we can identify and develop our own Shea Charles’s
  10. Your theory suggests that all income is paid to Chansiri himself rather than the club, which is of course, wrong. He could however take money out of the club in the form of a directors loan but every penny would have to be published in the accounts. There’s been no previous evidence of him doing this in the past 10 years.
  11. Bigger picture perspective needs looking at, in our first 2 home league games the crowds are down 18000 on last seasons first 2, that’s around £400k, plus the Leeds game was down probably 12-15k home fans, plus kiosk sales down 80% on last year. You’re talking close to £600k in revenue already. And that’s not including any merchandise. Compare that with the 5% revenue he’s received from 4000 away tickets sold, which makes up less that 1% of total monies withheld yet it seems to be a big talking point. I get the principle of not a penny more, but Chansiri isn’t looking at the balance sheet thinking I’m down £200k per home game but not to worry I’ve got a £1500 windfall coming in for Portsmouth away
  12. 95% of all monies held back via boycotts will be from Home matchday income.
  13. These are estimates but likely pretty close. Last season we had 19k ST holders and avg crowds of 26k, away average probs around 1.5k so 5.5k POTG average. Say average POTG ticket inc kids and OAPs is £25 ish club are losing circa £125k per home game on tickets alone. Then in kiosk sales say club receive an average of £2.50 per head there or thereabouts last season would have been around £65k per game, if it’s correct that the sales are 80% down that’s another £50k per game average. Impossible to know about hospitality packages, and matchday sponsors but you’d imagine advertisers wouldn’t be seeing the value as crowds dwindle.
  14. Not sure where you’ve got that from, in the last published accounts it showed a £26.7m turnover
