  1. At this point, would you accept a takeover from Super Hans? Probably worth a go. Don’t remember a Peep Show episode where he gets Palace kicked out of the Europa League.
  2. I live in Southampton and I’m going to their match tonight. I’ve been practising loudly saying that Röhl is a terrible manager and 0-4 flattered Wednesday last season.
  3. ***disclaimer*** I’m not comparing them to £20m Omari Hutchinson But, I wonder if Danny will bed them in like McKenna did with Hutchinson at Ipswich. Was expecting him to be more involved there than he was at the start, mainly coming on as a sub, then second half of the season he was their best player. Seemed to take him some time to settle into their system. With Lowe/Windass/Gass/Musaba we for once have the luxury of being able to be patient with bright young players
  4. It’s widely viewed by Saints fans that they went downhill when Röhl left which was before Ralph was sacked so he wasn’t really part of the group that got sacked
  5. Used to play football with a guy who had a Lekaj shirt, still find it funny to this day
  6. Röhl and all the staff came into Bierkeller. After about 20 mins, Vaulks and Pato arrived, then they sort of drifted in 1 by 1 for the next hour Powell was having a superb time
  7. Our league status is in his hands - clean sheet next week and nothing else matters!
  8. It’s kind of frustrating that it’s taken this long to effectively revert back to the midfield 3 that we all knew was solid and arguably too good for League 1 last season (not blaming Röhl, blaming someone else…) Obviously new players can improve a team (possibly Momo at some point) but fitness aside I think we would have been much better off starting the season with the BBV trio and focused our efforts on, say, LBs and STs!
  9. Walked round and clapped the fans at the end
  10. I’m not saying I’m convinced about Jones, but I live in Southampton and having seen them a fair bit last year can confirm that they were an absolute car crash before and after Jones too - not just when he was there. I don’t think anyone would have achieved much with that team. Aware he was bad at Stoke too but I wouldn’t say the Saints stint proves a huge amount. The press conferences weren’t a good look though.
  11. Personally my favourite of our ‘weird investors’ will always be Azerbaijan Land of Fire man. He actually made it onto the shirts.
  12. If Dawson had been a new signing in January and performed how he has, no one would be calling for us to sign a new number one We just need a backup
  13. I love how he gives the goalkeeper a little shove every time he passes him He’s such a handful, can’t be fun to mark at all
  14. He’s not first choice over MJ/RJ, but he’s come in off the back of no competitive games and contributed. Always hate 2pm Saturday because it’s the weekly “who’s not in the squad that we didn’t know about” moment (James, Byers, Iorfa, Flint etc at various points). Last week and arguably yesterday that spot was filled in by Brown both times and he’s come in and contributed to the only goals we’ve scored and 2 clean sheets. Automatically a hard job coming in but when people are effectively disappointed that James or whoever is missing I think it makes it even harder. Well done JB!
  15. Nice one Darren
  16. Heckingbottam I think, flying over the pile on?
  17. The big thing you have to consider is the work Moore seems to do off the pitch too. I’m sure it’s partly improved infrastructure overall, but the number of loans going out, the youth players training with the seniors etc has to be part of Moore’s impact. Signing new contracts, tying players down - he seems to be involved all over. A new manager would need to do all these things as well as moving us up 1/2 places in the league, whilst maintaining the generally positive connection between club and fans. Moore does more than just get us points in the league in my opinion.
  18. As someone who lives in Southampton I’m going to put my neck out and say this draw is alright In all other cases, terrible
  19. Looking at their fans reaction on twitter they seem to think this is their best lineup of the season. The extra day’s recovery and the amount of changes made on Tuesday really puts this in our favour. We know how that usually ends up….
  20. Seems like he’s a level too high to drop to L1. But if there’s anything in this, would Moore have been his loan manager/youth coach when he was at WBA? It’s helped before
  21. I think he’s done a good job. He’s had to manage a team whilst beginning the process of turning the ship around at the same time. Considering the state we were in when we went down I think he’s doing well. 4th place without being able to pay any fees, tying down contracts, loaning out youth etc. Didn’t manage promotion but did a huge number of things last year that will set us up better for the next few seasons
  22. Hull barely sold 20,000 but it didn’t benefit us
  23. Agree with the comments about unmet potential. Even in the Donny game (where he was better) there were moments where he just wasn’t switched on, like throw ins and quick goal kicks. He had a chance to be an outlet for a quick counter and he wasn’t even looking at where the ball was. Weird.
  24. It was odd watching fairly good performance, going in ahead but still being certain that we were going to lose. Neither goal was surprising. Really weird way to watch a game, and not at all fun knowing the goal is always coming for the opposition.
