  1. I can't know and I'm not going to cry for him to go. I could be wrong. I often am But I've not seen anything good from him as yet and would be surprised at this point if we did stay up.
  2. Looking at the highlights we seemed very lucky to get a point. You get minnows hanging on in the cup to get a draw all the time but it doesn't make them a good side or show progress. We've looked appalling since pre season and we are going to struggle to score. I just can't see us avoiding relegation with Xisco He looks the part but I've not seen anything from him yet to make me feel confident.
  3. Back on the road. That's a solid ten for me.
  4. Yeah you always know scruffy 1-0 wins won't last. But people say its the sign of a good team. I don't get that myself. We probably were never the best team in the division even when we were top.Maybe 3rd or 4th best. But this collapse is a surprise. The way this last 20 odd years have been it shouldn't be though. I think now bigger attendances than the opposites don't equal success we'll struggle to ever be a big club again unless someone with some real money comes in. I don't totally blame Moore but we need a rethink in the summer. I don't want to spit my dummy out yet but we probably need a fresh approach if we don't get promoted.
  5. I thought most of them went for financial reasons and because we were crap at the time.
  6. Has he ever been a good manager? If you think about what he did at westbrom and doncaster you could argue it was just an ok job he did. I'm starting to doubt he is. That interview after the Plymouth game just came across as, um ahh um i don't really know how to get these players playing. He doesn't know his best 11 at this stage of the season and i think we are definitely capable of better with this squad. Its ok giving people time and saying who else but where do you draw the line.
  7. Wildsmith is 6ft 2 and Byers hairline is level with Joe's eyebrow. Just checked and eyebrow to hairline is almost 3 inches(unless you are Max Wall) so i can confirm that he is around 5ft 11.
  8. I think though if you compare us to similar size clubs, what we've had to spend, look at clubs with less history and smaller crowds in one horse towns that have been doing better than us for a number of years, you have to say we have gone wrong somewhere. Championship playoffs twice in over 20 years has got to be under achieving for a club of our stature. Utd have had the better of us for a long time during those 20 years. They were in the premier league more recently twice. Been in the playoffs a stack of times. Only really that spell in the pub league have we had the better of them really. Outside of the top six or the smaller clubs in the championship and league one, i can't think of many who have been as bad for such a long period.
  9. Over the last 20 years i'd say we have been the biggest under achievers. We've been out of the premier league probably longer than most clubs of a similar stature. We've spent too many seasons in the third tier and we've only been a top 6 championship side twice. Forest have been in the top flight more recently and always seem to be in with a shout of promotion even if they fail. Sunderland were a top flight team more recently and currently looking good. At this moment we are the poorest "big club" i reckon.
  10. I thought it would be a tough game but not that tough. I'm sure Moore will not be as nice as the op. But yeah it is early days
  11. Its strange because we enjoy winning but winning leads to promotion and then usually to losing We have had some good times in league one but you never want it to last more than a season. This time though it does feel like a reset and a rebuild.
  12. Cain Dingle and Sinbad from Brookside?
  13. If we'd stayed up I think we would have struggled big time next season. Going down gives us a chance to reset, bring some younger players through and build a team with some backbone. Actually see us dominate a game maybe. If we can pay the wages we'll have some pull in league one. In the championship god only knows who we could attract. It's always been a laugh in league one but it won't be if it lasts more than a season, two max. I'm disappointed as we were so close to beating Derby but next season could be entertaining. It could be a disaster
  14. We have a poor squad and Moore will need to sort that out next season He can only do so much with what he has now but maybe he could have done slightly better I don't know if he said he would leave the match in Smith's hands but on the radio they were pointing out what they thought was wrong from a Wednesday pov but how it was maybe easier to see from up in the stands. If i was Moore i'd have been on the phone to Smith quite early on.
