  1. Chalobah has played a combined total of 407 minutes of football in the championship this season. Jamal Lowe has only been on the field once in the last 10 games and his last goal involvement came in December. Are you still backing those two to deliver at Wednesday? We should be looking to get Chalobah, J Lowe and Ugbo all off the books for me as it doesn’t look like it’s going to work for any of them at Wednesday. Maybe a loan for J Lowe and Ugbo and we can always recall them in January if they start scoring somewhere else
  2. Looks about right but I’d guess Ryo Hatsuse is out of contract too. Given Ryo was on trial with us for a while as a free agent before we signed him and we only gave Armstrong a contract until the end of the season, I’d be surprised if we gave Ryo a contract longer than 6 months
  3. It’s never been entirely clear how recruitment works under Chansiri has it. But the signings we’ve made while Röhl’s been manager haven’t been great either way. We’ve signed 5 attacking players this season and they’ve barely contributed a league goal between all 5 of them
  4. Who signed Ugbo, Jamal Lowe, Chalobah, Cissoko, Kobacki?
  5. I agree that we’ll never go anywhere while Chansiri’s running the club. But Röhl still has to take some accountability for the worst home record we’ve had this century, the poor recruitment and losing 5 home games in a row
  6. Does anyone know when was the last time we lost 5 in a row at home?
  7. We’ve not beaten them in a match for over 13 years now. That’s the longest run in our history without beating them since the first fixture between the two clubs in 1891. It’s something else we can thank Chansiri for is that we’ve never beaten them while he’s been running the club
  8. It’s unlikely with only a month of the season to go but could we still get a points deduction this season? We could be better taking the points deduction, admin and relegation this season and resetting next season in league 1. It’s looking like we’ll be starting next season in the championship embargoed with a points deduction
  9. We go into a 3 window embargo if it’s not paid on Monday
  10. Who’s going to buy a club in a 3 window embargo with the next season’s ticket revenue already spent? They’re going to need deep pockets just to keep us afloat for the next 12 months
  11. Could the players (and even Röhl) leave the club with no compensation being paid to the club if they wanted to? Surely you’ve got grounds to claim breach of contract if you’re not being paid on time. Would you carry on working for an employer who wasn’t paying you in full or was paying you late?
  12. The EFL shouldn’t have allowed us to spend fees on Ugbo and Valery. How can a club be allowed to spend a couple of million on transfers when a few months earlier Chansiri was asking fans to send him £100 each to pay HMRC. Troyes are probably following this story wondering if they’ll get the full fee for Ugbo
  13. Pierce or Shea? Been reported Musaba is out of contract but the club have the option for another year
  14. He’s more like Urby. At least da Cruz started quite a few games. Cissoko’s looking like he’ll pick up a wage from the club for 6 months without even starting a game
  15. 14 players in the current squad are Röhl signings: Beadle Hamer Max Lowe Valery Ryo Hatsuse Chalobah Svante Armstrong Shea Charles Ugbo Cissoko Mcneil Kobacki Jamal Lowe And we still had Ihiekwe, Marv, Iorfa, Famewo, Bannan, Windass, Paterson and Smith all playing today who were with us in league 1. It’s alright saying ‘clear out’ but the players we had in league 1 are still better than the majority of players we’ve signed in 3 windows under Röhl. Without Smith and Paterson this season I think we’d have been in a relegation fight because Ugbo, Jamal Lowe, Kobacki, McNeil and Cissoko have delivered nothing
  16. You could add centre half and centre forward to that too
  17. West Ham shouldn’t be on that list in 2023 for winning the conference league either. I wouldn’t class the conference league as a major trophy. If you take West Ham out, only 7 clubs have won a trophy since 2013
  18. It wasn’t embarrassing, we got it back to 2-2 the ground was bouncing. Then we got hit by a sucker punch. That’s football
  19. It’s the way it’s fallen with a lot of other big games on the same day. I don’t think the last time we played them at home (the 0-0 draw under Steve Bruce in March 2019) was on Sky either was it? And the last two times we’ve beaten them, the 2-1 win at Bramall Lane in February 2009 and the 1-0 win at Hillsborough in February 2012 neither of those games were on Sky so maybe it’s for the best we’re not on their main channels
  20. Yes it’s pretty rare now that a premier league job would go to a championship manager. To get a premier league management job from the championship now, the manager generally has to take the team up himself. You could say Maresca was appointed by Chelsea from Leicester last summer but he’d already been promoted with Leicester so he wasn’t a championship manager at the time. Apart from that, who’s the last championship manager to get a premier league job? Steve Bruce going to Newcastle from Wednesday would be the last one I can think of. And that appointment wasn’t a success for Newcastle. Premier league clubs generally don’t come looking in the championship anymore. In the last 12 months the Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton, Manchester United, West Ham, Everton, Wolves, Leicester and Southampton jobs have all been available and none of them have gone to a championship manager
  21. We won the first game too against Plymouth. 4 wins in 17 at home since then
  22. It was the FA Premier League for the first season in 1992/93 so we have played in the premier league. Then it was the FA Carling Premiership from 1993 to 2001, the FA Barclaycard Premiership from 2001 to 2007 and then Barclays Premier League from 2007 to 2016. And from 2016 it’s just been the Premier League
  23. It’ll be Wednesday. Derby were relegated from the premier league in 2008 so if you changed the question to the last 17 years it’d probably be Derby. Of the other clubs outside the premier league getting higher attendances than us this season there’s also Sunderland who haven’t played in the premier league since 2017, Coventry who haven’t played in the premier league since 2001 and Birmingham who haven’t played in the premier league since 2011. But this will be the first season for years that Coventry and Birmingham have had a higher average attendance than us
  24. This is on the same day though as Celtic v Rangers that kicks off at the same time 12.30, Arsenal v Chelsea that kicks off at 1.30, the league cup final that kicks off at 4.30 and Leicester v Man U that kicks off at 7pm. They may put us on aswell but their schedule is already stacked with football with the other big games on that day
  25. It doesn’t look like it’s on Sky’s main channels
