Since having a ST on the North, since 2017, I don't think I've ever noticed the band. They are so far away from where I sit, thank chuff. They were good away from home in the early days, but it soon became an absolute embarrassment.

Totally agree. I was a football journalist back in the 2000s and today looks much, much harder for hacks. The constant demand for content, thanks to the internet, is insane, and Alex, Joe and Rob do a brilliant job of keeping across the news and breaking their own stories, plus all the extra bits like podcasts, and that. It's a tricky balancing act as you have players, agents, fans and other groups that you can't ******** off too much or you risk losing their trust. They do a brilliant job and are absolutely committed to their jobs. If people can't see that, then they're blind.

heard it in our away end at Palace about 20 years ago, some lad in late 20s, cockney type, trying to be edgy, saying horrendous things about one of their black players. I was half cut, so told him in no uncertain terms to shut his gob or have it shut for him. He shut up. To understand what good defending is, watch our defeat at Burnley back. We created quite a few chances, yet they kept everything out of their net, with a toe poke here, a block there. They put their bodies on the line and each seems to work for the other. Basic stuff, but they do it amazingly well.
